It felt like something that would be used as props on a stage of a fake room scene. There is no way this would last a toddler. Very complicated to put together.

Cute and holds a lot!
We bought this for our daughter who crochets and has a yarn problem… :) The cabinet seems super sturdy and it wasn’t hard at all to put together. I took off one star because some of the holes were not where they were supposed to be so a dowel or two is missing. It didn’t cost me any additional work and I don’t think that it makes the cabinet less stable, but it’s still a small issue. Looks great! I think it is a good value as well. It was on sale when we bought it.

The directions needed more details, very vague where to place hardware. The screws for the back poke through the wood, very hard to maneuver, I had to use small nails.

Design is great, and I like how it can store a wide variety of items, and how storage boxes could be used with it, if desired. I bought 2, to help with the growing supply of toys my 3-year old is collecting. Assembling requires some patience, especially since my 3-year old wanted to help, but everything went well. I hope the instructions are eventually put online on the Target's website; construction of my second bookcase was delayed by a couple of hours because my daughter thought they were a coloring book, and she set them somewhere unexpected, and I had already thrown away the first set. Fortunately the instructions were found before I had to try to assemble without instructions.

Great for a toy area!
This is overall an awesome product! The directions were sort of confusing but we got it put together. My only complaint is that on carpet it will tip over VERY easy. Thankfully we had furniture anchors laying around and we anchored it to the wall. I would buy this again, just make sure you buy furniture anchors!!

Perfect size, not too big or too small. Sturdy and solid. Make sure you mount it to a wall because it will tip and it's heavy. A lot of hardware when setting it up and you'll need a screwdriver. Very happy with this.

The bookcase was packed well but arrived with one piece damaged (which is visible on the front when assembled). The seller was very quick to respond and the problem was taken care of immediately. Would recommend this item- but beware: the instructions are not real clear.

No wall anchor
Pretty wobbly after assembly. Would be nice if there was a way to anchor to the wall. I had an older music box on the top and it scratched it up pretty good, so be mindful of what you're setting on top. Overall it fits are needs and stores more books/toys than I thought.

Looks good but assembly wasn't easy
Looks great and feels like it will be solid, even though it isn't real wood. But assembly was difficult. I've assembled furniture with cam locks before, but if you aren't familiar with that you'll probably want to find a youtube video because the instructions weren't very helpful. The final step of putting the backing on was the worst - tedious part. Lots of itty bitty screws to screw in the cardboard-type backing but there were no pilot holes and it took some muscle to screw those suckers in. And be careful you place them just right~ unfortunately one of mine went into an edge and the white pressboard cracked off.

This was pretty simple overall to assemble. A few pictures on the instructions took more careful review, but no major issues. It works well and seems very sturdy. Made a perfect toy and book shelf for my little one's room!

Sturdy and functional
I am using this in a corner of my living room to keep baby toys and books in that room organized. It was relatively simple to put together if you've done similar builds before. While I prefer a straight line, I felt like the angle and scalloped top of the bottom bin make it easier to store more and reach inside the cubby. I would recommend it and may buy a second one in the future to put alongside it. I'm trying to preserve the pre baby toy look of my living room as long as possible even though I know its a battle I will eventually lose.
