Pictures misleading to me
I was fooled into thinking this was a full size shovel in pieces. Nope. It's a car shovel that's small. I thought I had found one that could be kept in car but expand to normal size.

It small and compact.
I was able to use it to dig up all the snow that melted and became heavy ice. So glad I purchased this, will keep it in the car from here out just incase.

CHECK THE SPECS
This shovel arrived yesterday. The shovel appears to be well constructed and I always prefer metal to plastic. I was surprised that the box was so small. Upon opening, I found three pieces two parts of the handle and one small blade. I guess that I didn't read the dimensions of the blade as it is barely larger than a standard sheet of paper. From the picture, it appeared to me to be a standard-sized shovel, but it definitely is for shoveling in an emergency road situation or for tight spaces. The actual dimensions are clearly marked on the ad, I just missed them. The fact that the handle breaks down into smaller lengths and the good box that it comes in makes it an excellent item for your emergency road kit.

Fine to have as Emergency Shovel in your car....
The shovel sent to me was very, very small. It does not look like the photo of the man shoveling outside in the snow. It is sturdy though and would fit just fine in the trunk of your car, as an emergency snow shovel. I returned it, as it is not large enough to shovel my driveway etc....

I'm rarely one to review things, but this shovel is the best I've ever bought by far. I shovel lots of icy snow at our cabin, and shovels rarely last a season before cracking. I expect this one will last forever. If you have lots of icy snow to shovel, I can't imagine a better product.

This is a great shovel and it is very well constructed. We have gone through a number of shovels and this one I expect to last the rest of my life
