My son is seven almost 9 years old and I think this would be a nice basketball hoop for him. I like the overall appearance of this and it looks like a pretty standard basketball hoop. It has a nice design. I think this would be good for his current age and probably grow well with him as it can be adjusted. It does not have a lever to adjust it. You'll have to manually unscrew and adjust the pipe. Although it looks pretty easy to set up and will probably only take a few hours. Make sure to read the instructions first. I like the overall design of this.

The basketball hoop.cam with the incorrect brackets and was not able to get wither Target or Costway to get the correct items. Basketball hoop doe not working and $150 thrown to the trash... extremely disappointed.

Assembly was straightforward, but the hoop could be a little sturdier. It works fine for casual play, but I'm not sure how it will hold up with more intense use. Overall, it's good for the price, but I have some concerns about long-term durability.
