Bed for my little girl
loved this bed for my daughter, you will need a drill for the bed tables and stair. not recommend for and older child because the sides are nor stury enough ( the board wall) . although the boar works amazing with chalk is not strong enough because of the thin material of the walls.

Solid, but needs more supports.
It\'s a bit of a pain to build, but I\'m gonna give it a mixture of user error and frustrating instructions as the cause of that, but my daughter loves I and it\'s solid. My only real complaint is that the supports included are not enough. I used a piece of 3/8 plywood on top of the slats to give it the much needed support. It could do with at least 3 more slats to give it what it needs.;I opted out of assembling the bookshelves right away, which is why you don\'t see them in the pictures. I\'m unhappy that they\'re mdf and not real wood like the rest.

Easy to assemble
With some good power tools, it was fun to put together. I couldn't have done it without a drill, though. Very please with these beds. They're perfect for my small apartment and kids sharing a room.

Great purchase overall
Overall, the instructions were clear & easy to follow but it was still a pain to put together, specifically the bookshelves. My son loves it so that's what matters most. I do wish the bookshelves were taller so that you could put books in an upright position but we made due. I would recommend

Adult/child co-sleeping
I share a room with my two year old and I have been redecorating my room to make it more kid friendly as caring for a two year old can take up a lot of time so anything can make things easier. This bed allows him to roam freely without me having to worry about him falling out of the bed or jumping off. He loves the design and the easy way to get in and out of the bed. It is awesome for its functionality. However, since the bed is placed directly on the ground, so is the mattress. This makes making the bed a physical task so it is best to avoid placing the bed against a wall to make it easier to make the bed. As a 20-something it is also very bad for my back. I put in a mattress liner and protector and it has improved. I just ordered another mattress liner to see if it increases the firmness and hopefully it will help resolve this issue once and for all.
