What a letdown. We are sorry your Crayola Chalk is falling short of the pop of color you expected. Your board may just need a little prepping. To season chalkboards, hold the Anti-Dust chalk (school chalkboards) or Colored Chalk (children's chalkboards) stick in the center and use the long side of the chalk (not the point side) to draw broad strokes vertically and then horizontally covering the board completely with the two coats of chalk. When complete, wipe the chalk off with a slightly damp sponge, paper towel or soft cloth. Let the board dry overnight. This assists the chalk in adhering to the board. purple and red are buttery but the rest are borderline unusable. worth the dollar-or-less it sells for in the early autumn, if you only need like 2 usable sticks.

Not washable.
The blue chalk stains everything it manages to come into contact with! I’m not talking directly drawing on something with it- even the dust or slightly brushing something against it stains it. I’ve even tried running it through a bleach cycle and the blue is permanently stained!
