I appreciate the double wall to insulate the Japanese Maples I plant in the containers. The containers are placed on my patio and moved to an unseated shed for the winter. I live in Zone 5, in the books zone 6, but up here in "the hills" we live in zone 5. I stay away from "self watering" containers because: in the summer if much rain, the plants drown; in the winter the "self watering" reservoir freezes and cracks rendering the "self watering" feature useless.

Got these in the green, looked a little drab and disappointing straight out of the box, nothing wrong, just a little meh.. then planted my fussy hydrangeas in them, and now the hydrangeas are ginormous and covered in blooms because these pots meet every need of my plants perfectly. Right down to the ridges keeping slugs out. Planning to buy more..

I am enjoying container gardening, placing planters on deck to avoid grazing deer. This planter is double walled, so hopefully the hydrangea roots will be better protected over winter. It is light weight and easy for me to handle when filled.

Very thick walled, quality pot. The terracotta color once planted looks like real terracotta and not plastic. Much higher quality plastic than expected. It is nice to be able to leave out all winter instead of bringing them inside like real terracotta once the frost sets in. Convenient that a drainage hole is present. I would not spend this much money on an indoors plastic pot, but for a pot to be kept outside in all weather, it is perfect!!
