Guests are saying
Guests appreciate the versatility and effectiveness of this product for enhancing wavy and curly hair. Many have found it to be a game changer, providing soft, defined waves without the crunch. The lightweight formula is praised for not weighing down hair, making it suitable for various hair types. However, some guests noted concerns about the scent and hold, suggesting that while it works well for refreshing curls, it may not provide the desired strong hold for all.

Wonderful curly hair product
This was a God send damaged post surgery hair damage and lost for very curly hair employee recommended. Threw away all the other products. Best price is Ulta, started with small trial bottle- then got 8 oz. Big thanks for this curlsmith product in my 81 years of over curly hair!!

not for me
I usually like a lot of curlsmith products and like how they smell. this was just an ok wave spray but I can't get over the lingering smell. it's like musty old wet smell so gross. I got 2 during 21 days of beauty last time and still can't bring myself to reach for them.

Great for definition
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this with the weightless air dry cream. My hair has really uneven texture, curly at the bottom to straight at the top, and this helps even things out and leaves a nice finish.

Ehhh...
Curlsmith has some great products, so I felt bad about giving this a 2 star. I've been using this spray for a month now and while it was good for the first half, I've noticed my waves looking flatter by the end of the day (I know it doesn't have a strong hold) and my hair feeling dry. Not only that, but the instructions are super vague, leaving room for user error. 1. I use on damp hair after using Curlsmith leave-in conditioner 2. I spray into my palms (because it doesn't come out in a normal mist) and scrunch through my hair 3. I let my hair air-dry in a satin bonnet And upon reading the ingredients, I noticed it contains benzyl alcohol. Short-chain alcohols like benzyl alcohol evaporate quickly to emit scent (like perfume!), but can cause the hair and skin to dry out as well. A short chemistry-nerd rant, but I felt it was important to note (short-chain alcohols are not the same as fatty alcohols like lauryl, stearyl, and oleyl, which actually moisturize.) Maybe next time I'll see how it reacts to dry hair...

It's ok
This is a good option for touching up your Irish curls. But if you're looking for something that will hold, this one is not it. It is very lightweight, and no strong smell. However, my hair does fall flat by the end of the day.

Did opposite of its claims
My previously straight hair has become more wavy and frizzy in recent years (currently 2A/2B texture) and I'll start off by saying I LOVE the Curlsmith Air Dry cream. I was really eager to add this in, hoping it would finally give my waves the smoothness and definition they're lacking. I followed the instructions and used the product sparingly as others have suggested, over the air dry cream, but the result was exactly the opposite of its claims. It made my hair feel like hay, look more frizzy than before, and ironically, with less definition than when I use the air dry cream alone. Maybe there are other products and hair textures this plays better with, but I don't think it's worth the effort. I returned it.

Just what I've been looking for!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think I've found my go-to styling product! My hair is 2c wavy and very fine and I was looking for something that would add some definition, but not freeze my curls in place. This spray does exactly that. I spray it into my palm, rub my hands together and use it that way, since I am not very accurate spraying it into my hair. It works great that way and I am very happy with the results.

Curly Routine Revival
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2B waves that have just struggled to find their shape in a dry climate. Other products I’ve tried were either too heavy or didn’t help with definition. I bought minis of the Hold Me Softly balm to use right out of the shower and the Wavy spray to use while I’m scrunching and IM SO HAPPY with the results! It’s been 3 weeks and I will be ordering the full size without hesitation once it’s run out.

Not sure how to use???
I have wavy hair and wanted something simple to use. Directions are unclear, but maybe a half dozen additional products are needed? So by itself it basically did nothing but make my scslp itch. Threw it away. Cirlsmith has a good reputation. Maybe they need to make small size starter packs with clear directions for each curl type? Otherwise you are spending and guessing. Easier to just get a supershort layered cut instead.

Made my hair stringy; smells unpleasant
I've had good luck with other Curlsmith products and tried to make this one work, but it's a no. It smells strong and unpleasant, and somehow makes my fine 2B/2C hair both stringy and insanely frizzy. It's the kind of stringy, almost sticky cast you can't scrunch out. I had to wash it out to get rid of the awful texture. I'm going to have to throw it out because even if I had a friend with my same hair type, I wouldn't wish it on them. I recommend other Curlsmith products but definitely not this spray!
