I can’t remember the last time my curls looked worse when using this, and seemed to amplify the frizz. No matter how much i used it weighed my hair down a tonne, and made my curls stringy and dry. Ive never had this problem before and once i removed the gel from my routine figured out it was this. Ive given it 2 stars just solely because the hold on this is really decent.

I have thick dry curly hair and this is an amazing ligjtweight gel. I used it on wet hair and put my hair in mini twist for a twist out. Upon twisting out, the curls werw defined, and ZERO FRIZZ. I will be getting the jumbo size.

I love this and I have A1 hair so I use it as the last step up of my styling routine also if your doing a slickbaxk use this but it also crates a really strong cast so touse a hair oil to break the cast i use the olaplex hair oil

I have 3A fine hair high porosity. So this is supposed to be a lightweight gel with medium hold… idk if I’m doing something wrong (followed the steps on the label), but it’s super heavy on my hair and doesn’t even create a cast so the hold is minimal - more like a 5/10 instead of 7/10. I’m not a fan at all, I’m almost thinking of returning this if I could. Only good thing is that it smells good…

I’ve been using it for a couple of years now, and I still get excited every wash day knowing this is all I need to style my curls. Before I discovered this gem, I used to layer two or three different products just to get some definition and hold—but nothing ever really lasted more than a day or two. Since switching to this jelly, my curls are beautifully defined, soft (not crunchy!), and they stay looking fresh for days. It's lightweight but still gives that perfect hold without weighing my hair down or making it feel stiff or sticky. I just apply it on wet hair after washing and conditioning, squidge it in, and then dry it with a diffuser and that’s it. Nothing else —just this one product. Ooo and a little goes a long way, even with my thick hair!

Overall, it creates the cast that keeps frizz to a minimum. There are two issues i have with it: 1. My hair looks dull/dirty 2. It disrupts my curl pattern (making it scraggly) Not really impressed.

If a try any of Curlsmith, I just go back to this jelly. I love that it doesn’t not leave my hair stiff when it dries. I put the conditioner then the Hydro Style Flexi Jelly and go. No blow drying!

Strangely enough this product gave me an allergic reaction even though I've used other curl Smith products with no issues. But this one just kept making me sneeze over and over again once the curl cast was broken. At first I thought it was the new conditioner I bought so I stopped using it but annoyingly enough I kept sneezing. Then I realized the only other new product I had put into my routine was this one and sure enough once I stopped using it I no longer had allergies. I rated it 2 stars bc it made me hair look okay, nothing revolutionary that I haven't gotten with other gels though. This may work well for others but unfortunately not for me.
