This has turned out to be my go to over Trader Joe’s brand due to cost. The quality seems the same. I started using this as a sugar alternative as it has a lower glycemic index. Delicious & Versatile Sweetener
I used this date syrup as a sugar substitute in a marinade that called for brown sugar. I’ve made my recipe both ways and far prefer this syrup to the brown sugar! It does have a good taste. It is a great substitute. I also used it to make lemonade. I could taste the date flavor a little more that way but it was actually a really good taste and not strong at all.

As someone who has been pretty off and on with my liking for dates, I was pleasantly surprised that I loved this! But also not too surprised, considering I have a sweet tooth. I use it in my matcha lattes and it tastes heavenly, also used it in a chocolate granola recipe and it was very good. There's a very delicate sweetness to it. I'm sad that it's no longer being sold for shipping, I don't know how or why. Target, please restock this I am literally begging you!
