The compact De'Longhi Capsule 1500W Ceramic Heater delivers fast, direct heat in a compact design with a cooling fan option for year round use. Q: Does this heater blow air?

  • A: Yes, it has a fan-only mode which even uses the thermostat dial too! This way it can be set to come on only when it gets above a certain temperature. I was very happy to see it.

Q: In the fan-only setting, does the fan turn on when the thermostat is warm and turn off when it's cold, or vice versa?

  • A: Yes, it seems to turn on when the air gets warmer than the set point. Adjusting the thermostat dial in fan mode works opposite the way it does for heat, if that makes sense. Makes sense once tested.

Running this heater for 8 hours a day equals 12,000 watts or 12 kilowatts of daily electricity. 12 kilowatts x 12 cents per kilowatt = $1.44 per day. Doesnt work

I bought this in-store and plugged it in when I got home and it doesn’t even work. The light it on but no heat.

Small but mighty

This little space heater packs a powerful punch. It works very well. It’s a 1500 watt u it that you can take with you anywhere as long as you will have an outlet to plug in to.

Leary, but it works fine!

After reading reviews, I wasn't sure about this one but it seems like so many space heaters don't last or work properly. I've only had this for a day, but it's not too noisy and seems to work okay. It's a little small for a bedroom, but still warms the space enough. If you need something for a small space, go for it. Otherwise, I'd recommend something larger.

Put it on Frost Mode, all of my Paint Froze

Like the title says, the frost mode is supposed to use the space heaters thermostat to prevent the room from freezing. When I returned in the morning, all of my paint was frozen SOLID. It's one thing to not include a feature like this at all, but it's another thing to include a feature that doesnt work, and then cause hundreds of dollars of damage.

Good heater but could use a better stand up device

I bought these last year for a camping trip. Very powerful little heaters def did the trick to keep us warm. But the only thing I don't like so far us that it doesn't stand up by itself, it's need a little piece of plastic to pop out like a stand/foot dor it to stay upright. And it breaks very easily and then you can no longer use it. Which has happen to me this year. Only used it the one weekend and now can no longer because I can't prop it up with anything for fear if a fire.

Perfect for the smallish office

This tiny unit moves a surprising volume of air for its size, and warms my small office from 16C to 22C in the time it takes to make a cup of tea. It’s exactly what I was hoping for when I ordered. It’s compact, very light and simple to use. There are a lot of paper products stored close to my office and the auto-off features for overheating and tipping allow me to feel secure using this small unit to warm my space. I’ve never felt confident enough to have one before and have spent many a winter shivering in my 16C office. When the sun is out and it’s 28C the fan, though small, moves enough air to allow me to work.

Nice when it worked.

It worked for almost a year, maybe half. After awhile it started to make a clicking/static/snapping sound when I turned it on, so i got ride of it. When it worked, it was nice--just know it wont last.

Excellent heater

Bought to keep my daughters room a little warmer. Works great. Not very loud, throws a lot of heat and ability to adjust the temp is great to keep her room comfortable. She really likes the colour and it doesn't look out of place in the room.
