  • A: If anyone buys this code without owning a Switch 2, it is possible to get the game on Switch 1 1. Redeem the code for the game while signed in on Nintendo’s website 2. On the eShop, or on Nintendo’s website, the Switch 1 version should be listed as 100% off if your account already owns the Switch 2 version It’s confusing because every Switch 2 game with a verbose “Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” subtitle DOES work on Switch 1, while Switch 2 games without a subtitle CANNOT work on Switch 1, even if those games have Switch 1 versions

Wrong downloadable code when purchased

Bought this, the card I bought was a Sonic game but downloaded as Deltarune. Because we did not realize it was the wrong game and my 14 year old grandson downloaded, target nor Nintendo would help us, be cautious when buying downloadable games. Very disappointed in target.

Misled

I was lead to believe this would work for Switch 1 download. I was lead to believe Target tech support would assist with any issues! none of this was true! Tech support claims to know nothing about it, have no control, only help given was tech saying to call Nintendo! we wasted $25

Caution - Misleading Title

This code is only for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of the game, even though the title does not clearly state this. If you purchase this in error for the Switch 1, Target will not refund the purchase despite admitting that the title of the item is indeed misleading. There is a solution though if this does happen to you. Do the following: 1. Go to "ec.nintendo.com" and redeem the code online after signing in with your Nintendo account. It will say that your code is not compatible with your device. Proceed anyway. 2. Go to the Nintendo shop on your Switch 1. Find the Switch 1 version of Deltarune and proceed to purchase. 3. When you get to the last screen, it will present you with an option for a free download of the Switch 1 version of Deltarune for already owning the Switch 2 version. Target, fix the title of this item.

This is a scam

This is for switch 2. Even though it says switch in the front and the qna said it was for the switch. It only says it in the description. If you got like I did. Contact Nintendo and they can exchange it.

Only for switch 2

The description does not tell you this, but this content does not work on classic Nintendo Switch, it only works on the Switch 2. It's not returnable and I can't use it. Don't get swindled like I did.

Scam.. Refund me target..

Literally said for the normal Nintendo switch.. the QnA literally said for the normal switch too... this is a bad scam.. literally tried buying this for a friend cause they had a regular switch and target lied and look at me sitting with a game a can't use or refund. This is a problem target and get your priorities straight. I want my money back.. this was supposed to be a friends gift.

Deltarune is cross-buy.

Once you purchase Deltarune, is it available on both Switch 1 and 2. You can download either version from the eshop once you redeem the code on the Nintendo website.

scam.

I hated when I got SCAMMED OUT OF 3 GIFT CARDS AND $8. NOWHERE IN THE TITLE DOES IT SPECIFY THE GAME IS ONLY FOR SWITCH 2. DON'T FALL FOR THIS.

Not a Switch Game

This is a review of Target, not the game. The description states this is a Switch game. It is actually a Switch 2 game. This is only specified in the Specifications section. The title is misleading, do not make the same mistake I did.

SWITCH 2

I purchased two of these while dealing with a family emergency. No where in the title for this item or the details does it state SWITCH 2. It only says Nintendo Switch digital. When you go into the specifications area, that is where it states that it is for SWITCH 2. I spoke with two customer service people. The first one could not find where there would be an error. The second was over giftcards and told me where to look that it says SWITCH 2. It's rather a sneaky practice not to have that stated in the Title or the Detail section. I now have codes for two games that cannot be used. I know the Nintendo Switch 2 just came out this week, but having this labeled as being a Nintendo Switch game except in a drop down area, that isn't even part of the details section, very shady. You got me on this one Target. Thanks for the deception.
