Book Synopsis

The story of a cursed bloodline unfolds in this deeply sinister slow-build gothic horror comic--the hit WEBTOON coming soon to Disney+ as the series Portraits of Delusion.

As the reclusive Madam Song shares more of her unusual tale, she makes an outrageous claim: She is the daughter of a notorious vampire named K, who many decades ago was responsible for a slew of murders and disappearances in Shanghai. Iho, the young artist painting the madam's portrait, struggles with this new information--but Madam Song's emotional revelation that K infected her mother feels too real to be a lie. She recounts how she agreed to work with the Order of Hunters to stop her father, sending her down a dangerous path of death and deception.

But was she the predator or the prey?

As Iho learns more about his benefactor's cursed past, he suspects that his own future is in jeopardy. He is approached by members of the modern-day Order, who all but confirm the madam's outlandish story--and state that she is the prime suspect in a recent series of killings in Gyeongseong. Iho doesn't know who to believe and feels that there's more to the story. But uncovering the truth may prove to have deadly consequences. . . .

Volume 2 collects episodes 21-40 of the Webtoon comic Delusion.
