He meets the "Bun Angels," watches for a scary pike that lives under the dock, and finds unusual treasures in Grandma's old dresser. But Grandma's birthday party turns out to be the best day of all.

Jonty fühlt sich ein bisschen unbehaglich, als seine Eltern verreisen müssen und er den Sommer bei seiner Großmutter Gladys verbringen soll. Er hat mit ihr normalerweise eine Menge Spaß, weiß aber, dass er seine Eltern vermissen wird.

Die Zeit mit Oma Gladys wird am Ende besser sein, als es sich Jonty jemals hätte vorstellen können. Er trifft die "Zimtengel", sucht einen furchterregenden Hecht unter dem Steg und findet ungewöhnliche Schätze in der alten Komode seiner Großmutter. Aber den besten Tag hat er auf der Geburtstagsfeier seiner Oma.
