Design Toscano Chartres Cathedral Gothic Candlestick: Grande

Purchased these to use at home as well as for use in creating displays for church and other events. The quality is excellent. Purchased two of each size and they are excellent on the hearth, at the table, or even on the floor.

This is a very heavy piece, that looks gorgeous on the mantle. Please see photo!!!! It has the substance and character to stand with a 1800's monstrance. The character that this display puts off is awesome.

It is a beautiful product. Well designed and manufactured. It is made of Brass which is a semi-precious metal. It will last for centuries to come and with times although the color will be changed by some oxidation, but this color change will enhance it beauty rather than to deface it. On the contrast with the resin that the times and exposure to the elements will deteriorate its strength, but not with the brass and bronze. I bought several of the grand ones and one small one. The only problem I observed in a couple of the grand ones was that when I opened the packages the upper parts had been detached from the lower parts during the transportation at the location where the upper and the lower parts are threaded together. It seems that either this problem in due to the short length of the threads either in female or male threads or both. This problem causes the upper and lower parts cannot be securely connected together. When you try to tightening the threads it start to becomes tight, and then by a little more tightening it become loose again. Otherwise I did not observed any other defect with this product and they are perfect.

A beautiful addition to our sanctuary. They have added a degree of solemnity to the sanctuary appointments by their very look and have been well received by the parishioners. I would definitely recommend these to other parishes.

If I were forced to chose only on set of candlesticks from my collection to keep, it would be the Chartres Cathedral Gothic Candlesticks! I actually saw them for the first time many years ago on a tv show, and searched until I found them on the Design Toscano website. I love them so much that I ordered two of each size. The workmanship is amazing, and the weight of the brass is quite impressive. I used these year round, and am so glad that I bought them!

I ordered a pair for my dining room table and was pleasantly surprised how good they looked. They have weight to them and not cheaply made !

It exceeded my expectations. When I put them on my buffet they looked like they were always there.
