Inspired by General Dwight D. Eisenhower's favorite WWII jacket, Dickies' Insulated Eisenhower Jacket is known for its classic good looks, rugged durability and lightweight warmth. The exterior pockets, and the hidden interior pocket, create plenty of space to store your accessories. Thanks to the generous fit across the shoulders and chest, as well as the light feel of the jacket, it has become a customer favorite with performance, comfort and value guaranteed.
I am 6’6” and 240 pounds, broad across the shoulders, with a dress shirt size of 18x37. I ordered the XL Long jacket and it fits me perfectly. Other jackets I have had to order in 2XL and then taken in at the sides and waist to keep from looking boxy and tent-like. This Ike jacket is generously cut yet fits without a need for such modification. The sleeves are almost too long, but I ain’t bitchin’, since I have full sleevage when my arms are stretched out in front of me, for example when riding a motorbike or shooting. The Lincoln green color is a blast from the past, I love it and it turns my hot wife on. Insulation is not over the top, and acts more like additional windbreak (Yay!) than a layer of warmth. The price cannot be beat.
Was nervous about ordering online but the fit was just right. Everything is just long enough to not be too short and adjust to me over time. And considering I had my last jacket for many years I almost can't wait for this one to get broken in so I can order another one. Quality for the money is hard to find nowadays.
I had a jacket just like this for years and out grew it. I purchased this one and another in a different color and I’m very pleased with both of them. When I die I will be buried wearing one of theses jackets. Thanks dickies for making an awesome timeless product
I bought this jacket and it was my go-to for a long while. Started having issues with the zipper seam busting apart and having to struggle to get it back to normal. Eventually it got worse and worse until the point that the zipper stopped functioning entirely. The metal teeth seem like the sturdy option, but they have proven otherwise. Good value for the money as I bought it on sale, but I will not be getting another because of the poor zipper design. The flexible duck jacket I bought for those colder few months however, that one is amazing.
The jacket fits and looks exactly like the regular Eisenhower jacket except longer and no arm pocket. It's perfect for covering my gun on my belt. I have both the Eisenhower and this one and love both of them. Both run bike, I normally wear a large, but medium is the right size for this jacket.
