Kids’ measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

Super cute

So cute

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is enjoying his costume, especially the padding for the muscles, the mask is high quality plastic too not flimsy at all, however the strap is not as durable for the weight of the mask it self! The appearance of this overall is high quality and great value for the cost! He is pumped to wear for Halloween as his first year trick or treating! He is 42 inches tall and we ordered the size small 4-6, the fit is great over all other than length but we just cuffed the arms and legs as he can grow with It essentially. It is very well made! I did size up from his normal clothing size and was really glad I did. It fit great over his normal clothing. The mask is extremely sturdy, the tiny velcro to hold it is the only downside to the costume.

Awesome, Comfy Costume!

Such a fun costume

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loves transformers and when I saw this on here, I knew I had to snag it for him. The outfit is very nice and durable. It fits him a little big but that great because he will grow like alll boys do. He has worn it all day so i assume that it’s comfortable. I love the little muscle in the arm. I really only have one complaint and that is they face mask is way to big for a size 6 child. Other than that, awesome costume!

Size up, comfortable and durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old son loved it, he is super ready for Halloween. The suit is not bad, the colors and the muscles give it a touch so that it doesn't look like pajamas, which is quite good. In terms of sizes, I think it would be highly advisable to go up a size to what is normally used since my son is 4 and that is the size 5-6 years and it fits him just right. The only thing that leaves a lot to be desired is the mask since it only has an adjustable elastic band on the back, therefore the mask does not hold well and moves a lot. Also, the costume looks comfortable and durable.

Fun to Pretend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids enjoy wearing costumes to pretend play with each other. This Transformers Optimus Prime T7 muscle costume from Rise of the Beasts was a hit! The costume has a little stretch and give, great for lots of movement. The mask not comfortable for my kids near the nose, it could use some improvement. The velcro closure makes getting in and out of costume a breeze. As for the fit, size 6/7 fit more like 5/6. I would size up if you want this to last through more than one season. Although you can always pass it down to your younger kids.

Childrens Costume Review

Great fun without breaking the bank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice costume for a reasonable price and made me my son SO very happy, and that’s all that really counts, right? Quality is decent enough for a costume. Probably won’t last for years and years but he probably won’t want to be Optimus Prime when he’s 15 anyways. I did love that it was easy enough for my 5 year old to get on and off himself and seems to hold up to the pulling to get it on and off without tearing. Overall, a solid costume and will bring lots of fun times into our house.

True to size

He normally wears a size 8, but this is a 67 and it fits him perfectly with his height the quality of it is so amazing and he said it’s very comfortable and absolutely loves it. He said it’s a 10 out of 10 on the costume.

He now can wear it around the house for fun and it’s is very durable. The mask is hard plastic and fits comfortably. I would recommend this for little boys!

Great costume

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Optimus Prime T7 Movie Classic Muscle costume came just in time for Halloween which is a big event for my kiddos. My son is into robots right now so having this Halloween costume is perfect. There's still room to grow but layering up, a quick tuck and you would think it's perfect fit. The colors are vibrant and the mask that came with it completed the whole look. He loves it.

True to size

The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the felt shoulder things. They arrived folded in and so they keep sticking up instead of staying down like they are suppose to. Other than that we really like the look and feel of it.

Dream Come true

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5-year-old wanted to be Optimus Prime and this is a dream come true for him. My son is a little skinny yet it fits him well. He said it is comfortable to wear. The mask is a very good quality and we love that it has an adjustable velcro to perfectly fit our littles.

Good Not Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The print on the costume has a lot of details. My son wore this costume in public because he just couldn’t wait till Halloween and he got a lot of compliments on it. There are gray flaps on the shoulders and I think it would look better without them. My son said the mask is not very comfortable and he preferred not to wear it but it did look pretty cool.
