Story not written well

Unlike the Coco and Moana golden books that my 20 month old loves, they don’t follow the flow of the movie at all here. In fact, the story line is quite different. It seems like they rushed this to print before anyone confirmed that they had the important plot points covered; it’s not as if it was cut for space as there’s plenty of useless stuff included. We don’t even get to meet all of the family…a pretty big deal in the movie. Some changes left a bad impression on me and since my son is obsessed with this movie, I don’t want him to have the same experience or get confused so I’ll likely be returning. I’ll hope one of the versions aimed at older kids is written better.

We usually love all golden books, this story is not great though. It’s missing a ton of fun parts from the movie which my daughter would’ve love to see on a book. Not impressed with this one
