There is nothing better for a child than pride in consuming the ice cream they made. 20 to 30 minutes is all that's needed time wise.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was so much fun to use with the kids. It was so easy and didn’t take to long to make. It probably took 30 minutes from start to finish. I did all the measuring and then I let them pour all the ingredients into the bowl. Easy clean up too. Everything is hand wash. What’s nice though is once you wash the bowls you just put them back in the freezer. So then they are ready for the next time you wanna make ice cream.
