Q: Vegan, egg free & eat raw claims; however, the label says "egg whites." Please clarify for safety reasons..
submitted by ssku3005 - 1 month ago
A: The egg whites have been heat treated for safety, totally safe to eat raw.
submitted byAnonymous - 15 days agoA: This particular flavor does not claim to be vegan or egg free. I’ve seen many by this brand that do, but (unless I’m missing something) this flavor does not. It is dairy free (eggs are not dairy). The egg whites are part of the ‘marshmallow’ swirl element. Now I’d have to do more research, but usually the element of the marshmallow swirl would have been made separate then incorporated meaning the whites could have been appropriately heated for safety. Not sure if this helps, but I hope it does. And if I missed something in terms of the vegan claim, I apologize.

Yummy Straight Out Of The Cup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the taste of this cookie batter. I like that you can eat it right out of the cup. I actually put mine in the freezer for a bit and it gave an interesting ice cream type feel. I didn’t get a chance to cook any of the dough because it really isn’t a lot in it, but I would like to buy it and try cooking it to see what type of cookies are yielded from the cookie dough. I received an incentive to write this review.

So tasty for my allergy kiddos. Nice to have an option for an oat free allergy friendly item, as many with celiac or gluten intolerance can't tolerate oats. Love these! Good cold or baked in the air fryer.
Yummy and better for your health!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cookie dough was packaged in such a cute way and presented as beneficial while still being indulgent. It was pretty decent - nothing out of this world but also for the benefits, worth it. We had the s’mores flavor and it just tasted like a regular chocolate chip cookie, though. It was super easy to bake and cool/serve … my only annoyance was how small the container was! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to see this edible cookie dough was vegan but then when I got home and checked the ingredients I realized that it is not vegan because it has real marshmallow in it, I did not taste any marshmallow flavor so I think they should just remove it and make it vegan or use vegan marshmallow, it is extremely sweet and I usually like sweets, everyone in my house agrees it needs to be less sweet, I did not make cookies with it as the appeal to me was that it is edible cookie dough I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was super excited to try this but this just isn’t my cup of tea. The dough tastes grainy and didn’t fulfill my usual sweet spot. I will say maybe because I’m not Vegan or Gluten free however friends who are Vegan and Gluten Free rave about this dough and love it. So although it’s not for me doesn’t me it can’t workout for someone else. I love cashews and this just wasn’t the cashew dough I was expecting. The aftertaste for me just was not it…. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did not like these cookies/cookie dough and I would not buy it again. The flavor does not taste like s’mores, they taste plain with chocolate chips. They are greasy when you cook them, and they don’t cook evenly. The bottom and the edges are burnt while the middle is doughy and undercooked. The price is really high for how many cookies it makes. I was very underwhelmed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] NOTE: The vegan and egg free claim contradict the label.. Maybe they are either plant-based or pasteurized and safe for consumption, but they need to be clearer about that. I wrote to the company to update the details on this page. The label and container both state egg whites are used. I'm a huge s'mores fan. I didn't get the s'mores flavor from this dough. I cooked my cookies for 9-10 minutes and it had a slight burnt or toasted flavor. I don't know if that was the s'mores intent or the cashew flour or date flavor.. The taste was off, but I ate them! There was no marshmallow swirl. The texture was soft with a sticky chewiness, which I didn't like as much. I love the limited ingredients. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the flavor of this cookie dough, although it tasted more like chocolate chip cookie dough than s’mores. Maybe it was just my batch, but I haven’t found any marshmallow swirl or tasted any marshmallow. The price is a little high but if this is a “once every so often” treat, then it can be justified. I also like that it is safe to eat raw from the container, and also baked. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cookie dough is not good. I understand it’s gluten-free so it might not have the same flavor as something with gluten in it, but the taste is just so bad it even leaves a terrible aftertaste almost medicinal. My son would not eat it either wind ended up throwing it in the trash. I don’t know if it would be better than another flavor, but probably not . I would not recommend this. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cookie dough tastes very good. It is a little too sweet for me though, at least raw. I like that you can eat it raw or bake with it, although I have not baked with it yet. It tasted fresh and the s’mores flavor is a very unique flavor. The flavor doesn’t fully taste like s’mores, but rather hints at a s’mores flavor, meaning the cookie dough is not a strong s’mores flavor. It is very tasty though! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this Doughy Smores cookie dough, and I absolutely LOVED it. It is pretty rich but it isn’t too sweet. Perfect for a late night sweet tooth. I like that it is gluten, grain, and dairy free. There isn’t a weird after taste like some other brands. Although I do wish it had more of the s’mores taste vs just a chocolate chip cookie dough. I also like that I can eat a little bit to curb that sweet tooth. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are 2 options at my local store Chocolate chip and s’mores flavor. I opted to try the s’mores flavor. I love the taste and that there are only a few ingredients, and that there’s the option to eat it raw off the spoon or to bake the dough. I’ve been enjoying it slowing eating a couple bites each day and it hits the spot for my chocolate fix. I will definitely buy this again and next time bake the dough. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was unsure when I had my first bite of this cookie dough but somehow I could not stop eating it! It is gooey and addicting. You can definitely taste the cashews but the chocolate chips steal the show with texture and flavor. It is very good for being gluten free!! I find it amazing that they are able to get this close to cookie dough texture without flour. I was expecting to see a marshmallow layer so I was disappointed to see that was not the case. I did try baking it as well and the baked cookie was tasty but very chewy. Overall it was a good treat that has minimal ingredients! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW! This cookie dough is so addicting! I purchased this because I am a lover of sweets, but also trying to be mindful of my diet. The ingredients are simple and straightforward but the taste is amazing. If I blind tasted this cookie dough without knowing the ingredients I would not notice that it was a healthier option. I did not try to bake the dough because it didn’t last long enough to try. I will be purchasing this cookie dough over and over again! I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Doughy S’mores Cookie Dough and appreciated the short ingredient list; just 7 simple items. It’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and grain-free, which is great, but it does contain cashews and eggs, so it’s not allergy-friendly. The texture isn’t completely smooth; there are noticeable chunks of cashews throughout, which adds a bit of crunch but also gives it a strong nutty aftertaste. It’s a nice lower-carb, lower-calorie option compared to traditional cookie dough, and you can enjoy it raw or baked. Overall, it’s a decent treat if you don’t mind the nutty flavor and texture. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the Doughy seems good. A nice list of whole, gluten free, dairy free, and grain free ingredients that you could pronounce. We ate a spoonful or two uncooked to test it out. It was ok. The cashew flavor is really strong. We baked the remaining dough, into 6 cookies. They had a nice chewy consistency. They were kind of sticky in my teeth, maybe that was the marshmallow swirl. The tub is only 6 oz so quite small for baking a batch, but a better size for eating raw. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little surprised how small the container is, but it said it should make 9 cookies. I ended up being able to get 8 cookies from it, and I did use a tbsp to measure each cookie. It says you can eat raw or bake. I would be a little concerned though since it clearly says it contains egg. I think some of the other brands that say can be eaten raw, don't have egg. It was easy to roll into balls and put on the paper to bake. I thought they came out pretty nice. I did bake them just a tad longer, because it seemed like they weren't done. They were still nice and soft though, even with cooking a little longer. My husband didn't like them, but my kids and I did. I thought you could even taste the graham cracker from the smore in it. Good cookie, but not sure it's worth it. I received an incentive to write this review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The cookie dough was pretty good. It’s definitely healthier than other kinds which is great, but I wouldn’t say it satisfied my sweet tooth. You wouldn’t know that it has cashews and dates in it, it has a nice chocolate taste. The texture is also Pretty similar to cookie dough. I haven’t tried baking it yet because I enjoy the dough by itself. I probably wouldn’t buy again, but it was good to try out. I received an incentive to write this review.

I was so excited to try this, great ingredients, yummy flavor, and great promotional pictures. Ya it’s not it! I think it’s the cashews I’m not sure but this is the second flavor I’ve tried from this brand and it just makes my throat feel weird and my stomach hurt. It’s not good either. Also do NOT expect any “marshmallow” on there, mine was purely chocolate chips. It’s truly dissatisfying and gross, and this is coming from someone who loves healthier treats and better ingredients.
