The Douglas Dauntless SBD-4 VMSB-233 "Sister" was a dive bomber aircraft used by the United States Marine Corps during World War II. It was first deployed in 1942 and saw extensive action in the Pacific Theater, including the Battle of Guadalcanal in 1943. The aircraft was known for its ruggedness and ability to absorb battle damage, earning it the nickname "Slow But Deadly."
