My darling & I first tried Douwe Egberts coffee at this breakfast dinner near us. And when we found out it is from the Netherlands (Europe), we were surprised . This was the best tasting coffee we had ever had ! We went online & found a reliable company that sold Douwe Egberts. We tried beans & then grind & then tried the instant coffee. We found the " Pure Gold Instant Coffee " to be wonderful ! We like the idea that the Douwe Egberts Instant coffee flavors come in tight sealed glass jars. It holds its freshness longer. We have learned to have some extra Pure Gold Instant on hand - because - at times it has been hard to get . Slow boat from the Netherlands - I guess. Do try Douwe Egberts Pure Gold. It's nice to step out of the box every so often & be surprised & happy with the new try... Nick

Coffee is great served traditionally or prepared as a concentrate to make a Starbucks-like frappuccino, that is better than the original, or other similar cold coffee drinks.

Lived in The Netherlands for decades, always had their aroma rood snelfiltering coffee as a staple. Then after resettling in the states I happened upon Pure Gold. Some may turn their nose up at an instant coffee but this is smooth, whether you like light or heavier flavored coffee. 9 yrs so far through Enjoybettercoffee.com, I am satisfied and happy they sell it!

When you don't have time to brew some Douwe's this is the next best thing. Actually, my wife likes it better than brewed. Also good blended in with vanilla ice cream to make what we call "sludge"!

I noticed two rather bad reviews fir this style. I have not had the same problem and have just received an order of 8 jars of Pure Gold and it tastes fine and am about to order more. There is another style called Pure Indulgence which does taste quite different. Perhaps the two other reviewers confused one for the other. Pure Indulgence is good too but it does have a stronger taste. For an instant coffee DE makes a very good product.
