I would rate this product a 0. Change it back! This was one of the only soaps I could use on face and body. The new formula broke me out in an itchy, burning, red rash on face, chest, and arms. It also smells horrible. Don't just change the fragrance, go back to the formula that worked! Or somebody leak the old recipe out so another company can make it! Or produce both formulas and let people buy the one that suits them!

Have been using the sensitive skin soap for several years but have to discontinue using it due to the rancid odor of the newer formulation. I had to actually take the bars I just purchased out to my outside garbage can because the smell was so bad. Unilever needs to pay attention to all of the reviews on the newer formula because they are losing customers. As the old saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it. I bought the Dove original to use as a replacement but apparently that formula has changed also because it is making my face itch.

I have used Dove for many years and I've never had any issues. All of a sudden, I am itching with small bumps all over. My eczema (which has been under control) has been flaring up horribly. I can only assume this is due to the new formula. I'm so disappointed in companies changing stuff. If it's not broke, leave it alone!

The sensitive Dove bar has a fragrance, ordor, masking scent call it what you will but this bar is definitely has a fragrance odor to it. I am asthmatic and had to give this soap away to friends.

I have used Dive sensitive forever because of autoimmune issues with my skin. Tonight I opened a new purchased box and I thought it was my washcloth but it was the soap. Opened another new box and same smell. Awful mold/mildew smell. It wouldn’t even make suds. It’s terrible terrible and my doctor recommended it & I loved the old formula. Please change it back!!

Broke out with a rash over entire body. I've been using dove for over 20 years and can no longer go near it after the formula changed. Please change it back to how it was!!!

I was disappointed at the change in formula. It smells like burnt rubber. Unworthy of future purchases

I have dove that my dad bought years ago, maybe even a decade, and love it. It was the Sensitive Skin. Now, with the original dove and sensitive, my skin becomes very itchy. I am not sure what is causing the itch. I thought it was the scent of the original dove, but now I think there is something different with the bar itself, like a chemical reaction on the skin. I hate it, can't even sleep after washing with either one. I have the Men+Care one, and have little issue with that. But these ones are intolerable.

We've used Dove sensitive skin bars for years because my kids all have sensitive skin. Well, with the new formulation that has changed. The new bars have made them all break out terribly. Sad that companies decide to "improve" a product that didn't need changed.

Been using the soap for 30 years and the last batch I bought it smells like mold/mildew. What happened? From reading these comments I see I am not alone. Change it back to the previous formula? This smells awful. I switched to a new brand and I like it. Sorry Dove, you blew it.

I bought this as recommended for radiation as it is a fragrance free product. I used it years ago when my children were young with no problems. I opened the product and could not believe how horrible it smelled. I thought something was wrong with the box until I realized it was the soap bar that smelled so terribly. I can’t use this product for the course of my radiation. I now have to find something without a disgusting smell.

What has happened to the Dove Sensitive soap?!?! The purpose of unscented soap is that is should be unscented! We have been using this soap for 11 years & loved it. Now it has a very strong mildew smell. Why and when was the formula changed? Like everyone else in the long list of complaints, we thought it was just us or a bad batch but the last few pkgs I bought smell putried! It takes a long time to find soaps for someone sensitive to strong smells but I guess we will have to start the search again. It just doesn't make sense to change something that so many people depended on & loved. Very disappointed. Is there any kind of reimbursement because I don't remember where I bought the soap. PLEASE change it back to the original!

I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW FORMULA 😒 PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK. It leaves my skin itchy and causing my ph to be off.

The new formula (package labeled with “Sensitive” instead of “Sensitive Skin”) is horrible... it has a disgusting chemically smell. I thought the first bar must have gone bad and I opened others only to realize they were all like that. I don't understand how this could be released, did no one involved smell the bars once???

What happened to the soap? I just opened a new pack and It's supposed to be fragrance free, but now it stinks, smells like old crayons, and it's slimy and hard to wash off. I have been using the fragrance free soap since it first came out. I guess this was a way to make it cheaper while still raising the price. Now I'm stuck with 16 stinky bars....Time to change to a different brand.

I have been using Dove Sensitive Skin soap for over 20 years (recommended by my OBGYN). Over the past couple of months, I have noticed that my overall skin including private parts have been extremely dry and itchy. I have never had problems with this soap until now and have had to visit my OBGYN for severe itching. I also have an upcoming appointment with my dermatologist as my neck looks like I am getting eczema. My husband and children has also shared that their skin is vey dry. My teenage son has had an increase in facial acne. Please, Please, Please go back to the original sensitive skin unscented formula. This new one has really messed our skin up. I know have to find a new sensitive skin soap.

I have been using this soap since 2021. This is the only soap I have been able to year the last four years. The new formulation causing extreme burning and irritation. I had to go to urgent care because my private parts were on fire. I have been to the doctor three times because of this. They are still not back to normal. Reading through the reviews, it seems a lot of your customers agree. I am so dissatisfied and disappointed with this formula change. Now I have no clue what soap I will be able as majority of soaps I have tried irritate my sensitive skin. Do better Unilever. You guys always tend to ruin good products that don’t need fixing. You did the same thing ruining the Simple Micellar Water skincare line back in 2020!!!!

Change it back! This new formula has made my skin dry, itchy and irritated and has aggravated my eczema. I have been using Dove Sensitive Skin for over 20 years - since my doc recommended it when I was in high school. Please bring back the original formula. This one is TERRIBLE.

This rating used to be 5 stars but like SO many others I have been a long time customer of this product, using it and LOVING IT for literally all of my adult life. Sometime within the last year I opened a new package and immediately started suffocating due to how unpleasantly bad and drastically different it smelled, like a rotten crayon. I assumed it was a spoiled batch but had the same problem no matter where I tried to buy it. The worst part is it does not clean me properly anymore and my hygiene and body odor has suffered greatly and is becoming a huge problem in my life now. Body odor has literally never been an issue for me due to the old sensitive skin bar working so effectively but now I can't wash properly because the new bar is so SLIMY it doesn't even rinse off easily. Thankfully I found the remains of an almost finished bar from the old formula and there is a night and day difference between the smell and quality. I have been hanging onto it for dear life, even though I just have the tiniest speck of it left I would rather use that than the new bars, and it's temporarily restoring my hygiene again. DOVE PLEASE FIX THIS or you will permanently lose me as a lifelong customer. I feel like a sim who can't bring my hygiene bar out of the red because of how bad this soap is now. In these dystopian times we are living in, the LEAST we deserve is a SOAP THAT WORKS that we already had for so many years!!! You are punishing loyal customers who have paid you so much money over so much time and this is just not okay.
