Perfect for identification, phonics, and word building/spelling activities. Red and Blue sets are color coded to help kids differentiate vowels from consonants. Each letter measures 1"-2" tall. Includes 112 magnetic letters and storage container. In the red and blue Foam Fun letter sets, "y" and "w" are now included in both red (vowel) and blue (consonant) colors since these letters also can be vowels (diphthongs: "ew," "ow," " ay," "oy," and more). Each set includes 112 Foam Fun Magnet Letters: 49 red: 9 each vowel, 2 "y" & 2 "w", 63 blue: 3 each consonant (including "y" & "w"). Also includes a storage container.

Sturdy & Durable
We have used this product in an intervention setting for two years. The letters are reasonably sized and match up with a ball and stick handwriting program. They have maintained their hold magnetically and none have broken in that time. In order to meet the instructional needs of small group word study and have enough on hand to work with double consonant endings (ff, ll, zz, ss), make sure to order more than one set.
