A: Hi. This product can be used for cases of vertigo. The main ingredient in this version of Dramanine is meclizine hydrochloride. According to the Mayo Clinic: "Meclizine is used to prevent and control nausea, vomiting, and dizziness caused by motion sickness. It is also used for vertigo (dizziness or lightheadedness) caused by ear problems." Every time I have seen a doctor for vertigo they have prescribed meclizine. If you are still unsure, check with a doctor, nurse practitioner, or pharmacist. If your vertigo is caused by a bacterial or viral infection, your healthcare professional may order additional treatments like antibiotics for a bacterial infection or a referral to an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) doctor or audiologist. For some cases of vertigo you can try the Epley maneuver.

It's a Trip Saver!
I like to read when traveling by car, but I get motion sickness whenever I do. Until, I found this gem! Dramamine Less Drowsy allows me to read during long car trips without nausea or sleepiness. The package is small enough and easy to tuck in my purse or glove box. Its more than worth the money

My husband and I each took one dose before a trip to an amusement park. I typically get very nauseous and this helped me immensely. However, even though this is considered less drowsy, it whooped our butts. About two hours after taking it, we both felt like we needed to lie down for a nap!!!

These knocked me out
I went to a them park and got home around 9 pm and was really nausea so I took one thinking I should be fine. I thought if it did make me sleepy I would just go to bed. Well it made me so sleepy and groggy for almost 24 hours. I kept taking naps in the car while running errands with my family. I would not take this again:

It works but beware of sleep!
These pills work really well, and the claim of lasting 24 hours is accurate BUT beware, they still knock you out! I can’t imagine what the regular version is like if the “less drowsy” was this bad. I was out for about 15 hours and felt groggy for around 20!

Still snoozing
I just recently got diagnosed with vertigo at 35 years. Prescribed medications were making me feel worse. So my Dr told me to try over the counter meds. These work, but I still get tired really easily within 20 minutes or so after taking these. I'd like something to work and still be able to function at the same time.

"Less drowsy" ≠ non-drowsy
I get pretty severe migraines that make me nauseous/vomit. I was recommended and take regular dramamine for it, but it knocks me out every time and that doesn't work when I'm at work. I decided to try the less drowsy, hoping that I could take it & still be functional...did not go as planned. I took the pill around noon and the nausea was gone in ~45 min. But I had to go home at 3 because I could barely keep my head up, then slept for 12 hours and still woke up groggy.

Worked For Me
I had a horrible plane ride experience where I got sick and was told that it could potentially be motion sickness. A family member suggested that I try Dramamine. I’ve used it twice since and did not have motion sickness on both flights. Hoping this continues to help.
