Q: Does this sun stick leave a white cast?

A: While our formula is specifically designed to melt into skin and not leave an opaque white cast on any skin tone, it is possible that, depending on the skin, it may leave the skin with the appearance of a slightly different tone. No mineral sunscreen is able to be 100% clear and invisible, as the zinc oxide sits on top of the skin in order to reflect the rays. Our SPF is a safe, clean, reef-friendly formula that provides maximum SPF 50 protection and blendability without any chemical UV blockers or nanoparticles.

A: We avoid ingredients that are comedogenic as much as possible, and plan to clinically test all of our products to prove they are non-comedogenic. Current products that have been clinically tested to be non-comedogenic are our Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, Overnight Brightening Mask, and Eczema Lotion.

Burnt my son's face!
We always use Pipette bodywash and shampoo as our kids have super sensitive skin. I was excited to see their mineral sunscreen stick. Bought it for our annual week on the River, and when I applied it to my 6yr old’s cheeks he immediately said “ouch mommy please stop, don’t use this one it hurts”. As the day went on his cheeks developed a rash, which worsened by the morning. It’s almost like a chemical burn! If you or your child have sensitive skin stay away!

This has been my favorite sunscreen stick. I found it in my diaper bag in a pinch one day at the zoo and discovered how awesome it is! It glides on extremely smooth and rubbed into my toddler’s skin very easily. We are always careful in the sun, but I was pleased he had no sun burn when we used it! It’s a little pricey, but I’ll keep buying it because of how easy it is to use.

I’m so impressed with this stuff! The only place I burn in the sun is my shoulders, so before I went to the pool with my baby today I had only really put it on his shoulders and some spots on his legs and face. No white cast
I like that there is no white cast (I'm olive tone) and it's moist and glide on well when applying. It's not crumbly when applying like the other one that starts with a C. When I roll it on my face it's smooth so I know it's absorbing into my skin. I don't like that after 20 minutes it's a bit greasy and sticky when I touch my face. My stray hair sticks to it and my face. I guess that means it's moisturizering. But since I work in healthcare, it doesn't absorb fast enough it's going to transfer onto my mask when I get back to work from lunch break. Also, it's expensive for such a little stick. I may use this up sooner rather than later since texture is a little soft
