A: This is a solid wood dresser, however the back panel is plywood. Plywood carries a Proposition 65 warning because of the adhesives and resins used in its manufacturing process.

Solid wood dresser. It’s sturdy and not made out of cheap material. My only complaint is that the directions are unclear which makes it hard to put together. I bought this for the size and the ability to refinish it how I want.

Very pleased about how solid the wood was. Except for the drawer sides/bottoms and back, it is a very solid, heavy piece. It only took me about an hour to put two together by myself. Directions were really easy (though using a drill definitely helped speed it along and save my hands). Getting two for under $500 to finish in my exact preference of color and upgraded hardware - this has been a solid purchase.

Directions come with absolutely nothing labeled. I just put together two full bedrooms sets and this was the last add on. Impossible. Do not buy this dresser unless you want an added headache. At least they make it easy to return.

I had been wanting to do a hand-painted dresser for a long time. It seemed better for a first timer to start with a blank slate rather than strip and paint something old. I enjoyed the process very much and intend to paint a coordinating piece for the other side of my bed.

This is a nice, sturdy dresser. Fairly simple to put together. Only ran into two hiccups. They didn’t separate some of the two sets of screws. They were all in the same bag so be mindful of that. The instructions also made a mistake about which back pieces went where. Aside from that, I love it.

These dressers are nice and what I was looking for. They are easy to assemble. As another reviewer said, a little wobbly side to side, but dont seem to tip over. The larger 5 drawer also comes with a way to mount it to the wall because there is a tip over warning. I also have the 4 drawer but I don't remember it having the same warning. I would not pay full price for these...I got the large one on sale for $475 or so. Can't remember about the 4 drawer now since it's been so long.

Great Dresser! I found it quite easy to assemble. Did it in an evening. I love the unfinished look of the wood. It's a little wobbly side to side. But not even close to tipping over, and could probably be fixed with some screw tightening. (I've had it for about a year now. So it holds up!) I definitely recommend it!

This is a very well made chest. The only thing I would complain about is the difficulty assembling it. It is not an easy task getting the back put together. It almost takes 4 hands to do it. Once it is together it is very heavy and sturdy. I also purchased the lingerie dresser to go with it. It was easier to put together and made of the same real wood as the larger chest. They are both really nice pieces and I am very pleased with them and the price since they were on sale when I purchased them.

This is a great dresser, we needed one for a small space and also wanted an actual wooden one. It looks great as is and unfinished, but we added some white to ours to match other furniture and sealed it and will be changing out the knobs soon. You can tell it's a good quality wood. We ended up using a drill to put it together, it would've taken a lot longer with just a screw driver. It was packed well for shipping. Lastly, it's heavy! Make sure you have some help lifting it.
Just OK -- be careful tightening screws.

We bought this with the idea of painting it to match our existing furniture in a guest room. It was reasonably easy to assemble with one exception... it's very easy to overtighten the screws on the sides so that they end up poking through the dresser sides, ruining the appearance. I think a warning or design change would have been appropriate here. Ultimately, given that and the look of the resulting finished product, which was OK, but not that impressive, I wouldn't have done this again. The dresser itself is OK and the construction seems reasonably durable.

I purchased this item around a year ago and am sorry to say that it looks like I will be having to throw it away. I really loved the unfinished look but it quickly became moldy. We tried cleaning it multiple times but it only continued to get worse and eventually attracted some kind of bug. so gross. We live in SF so it is more damp here than other places but we haven't had any problems like this with other furniture.

Considering the cost of this "all-wood" product, it's worth every penny. I liked it so much the first time I got it, I ordered another and use them for bedside nightstands. I'm now considering the dresser as well.

The directions are very vague but it was still very easy to put together. I would definitely use a drill (directions recommend a screw driver) to put the drawers together. It's very solid and heavy. The wood is real and not particle board which is a great selling point.

Good quality, easy to assemble. Drawers open and close easily and they even sent a couple of extra screws. My only issue is that it is smaller that I expected. I didn't check the dimensions so it is not the fault of store or manufacturer. But it's size does not compare to other dressers we have purchased with the same number of drawers. ...so measure..lol

This is a simple, clean looking dresser perfect for our kids bedroom. It's light weight and fairly easy to assemble as long as you've had some experience putting together furniture! My only issue is this - via both computer and phone - this unfinished dresser had a white washed look to it in the pics, which I liked and was the reason I chose this over a similarly priced dresser. When it arrived, I noticed that the dresser is actually natural color wood. I will most likely white wash paint it myself but would have been great if it arrived like that already!

We purchased this dresser for our 1 year old's nursery. It took about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes for my husband and I to assemble. The instructions were pretty clear and easy to follow. Although, the instructions say you only need a screwdriver to put it together but we ended up using a drill. We love that it's solid, natural wood. It's definitely a great deal for the price. The cabinet space is enough to hold our baby's daily wear and then some. 'm looking forward to allowing our son to pick a color to paint it as he gets older.

Love this dresser. Stained and painted it and then put it together... took about 6 hours for the entire process, but you can assemble in an hour easily if you're not looking to design and paint it. Wood is solid and heavy. Sturdy. Not too many pieces to put together. A lot of them are assembled into larger parts already. I used my own knows to make it look very rustic and vintage-like. Just ordered the 5 drawer larger dresser.
