Jack of both trades, master of neither
In the pictures the whole thing sort of looks silvery but in reality the top part is very much white, only the bottom is silver. Also in the pictures it looks like it might be made of metal but 'in the flesh' it's definitely and obviously all plastic. Remote didn't work at first, but after I left it on top of the unit for a while it started to work. Maybe that's how it charges? Was unable to get machine connected to WiFi via app. According to the display the air quality in my room was already pure which I find hard to believe, with how much I was constantly sneezing with a stuffy nose and irritated sinuses, the whole reason for this purchase. Definitely not as powerful as a traditional fan in terms of air flow/cooling even at the max setting, in fact pretty pitiful and feeble, but I suppose that's the trade off. In terms of noise, on the highest level, the only one that blows any appreciable breeze, it's even noisier than a traditional fan. As others have said, it sounds like the jet engine of an aeroplane taking off. But that doesn't bother me too much, in fact the noise of a fan going helps me sleep. The problem with traditional fans is they accumulate dust buildup which can be hard to clean off, which is why I bought this one. I'm hoping this purifier will trap and filter all the dust. The air in my room smells better, all though I am still getting spells of sinus irritation/sneezing/running nose. Basically as a fan it's pretty rubbish compared to a traditional bladed fan, so I'm keeping it just for the air purifying, though it's efficacy at even that is questionable, compared to far cheaper units; when I spray fly spray or deodorant in my room it can take days for the air quality to go back to green! If I were doing it over I would probably separately buy a cheaper but better fan (which I've already done to cope with these hot nights) and a cheaper but better air purifier. But I've got this thing now so I might as well keep it.

I believed I was purchasing an air cooler that had air purifying qualities. This model does not really create cool air!!

Our second additional cooling fan
This is our second Dyson air purifier cool. Really happy with this fan.. it’s cooling while air purifying so it’s running constantly in our living room. Great for pet odours & general air quality where we live. The fan is quiet but if you turn it up to 10 it’s a little louder, nothing to really disturb you too much. Remote control easy to use. Helps move air around a large family living area. Dyson support is great too.

Noisy and poor airflow
It’s noisy and air flow is very weak. It’s not the standard you expect from Dyson and considering the price point. Return process was not easy as well.

What we wanted.
I bought this about a month ago, for what we wanted it for it’s doing exactly it. Air feels clean, less dust, the cooling feature works well. I really like seeing the front screen reading the air quality.

Not worth it
Bought this and had it replaced because it was making noise tried to contact them again about the second replacement and while it doesn’t have the same clicking sound it is still very loud so we ended up not being able to use it in our child’s room as we intended.

excellent filtration
After my child’s recent asthma and hay fever diagnosis, we decided to purchase 2 of these for our house. The purifier has been amazing, relieving many of her symptoms and helping clear the air in her room, she’s now even sleeping the night through and not waking with coughing and sneezing. Highly recommend for allergy and asthma sufferers

Worth the money
I have been looking at these for several years. I bought the cheaper competitors and experienced the noise, cost of the three layer filters and finally gave up on them. This device actually cools, acts as a fan, is quiet, can be adjusted remotely and changing the filter is relatively quick and inexpensive. I absolutely love this air purifier.

Great purification
Bought this fan when we moved into our new apartment. My husband's asthma definitely started struggling more with our carpeting and pet dander so decided to try a Dyson. Since using the Dyson, his asthma symptoms have improved significantly and the air quality in our place has been amazing. The Dyson also helped a ton when the air quality outside worsened due to wildfires. Even though the air outside was hazy, inside stayed fresh! We actually purchased a second unit to keep upstairs!

To expensive for what it is
It’s ok. It doesn’t cool that much. But as an air cleaner it’s an excellent professional. Noise is minimal. Co trips are easier especially with an app. Airflow is good. Coverage is not too bad.

Great cooling fan/purifier
I love my Dyson! It’s been helping me sleep on warm nights, and doesn’t dry the air to have a sore throat like other fans do. It’s quiet enough and I love that you can see when filters need to be replaced. Overall, i’m happy with the technology and how easy it is to control it, whether through the app or remote. Thank you!
