Set up took maybe 10-15 minutes to install on the wall and get set up to access on my phone. I love that I can check on my house temperature AND change it via the Ecobee app when I’m not at home. I actually find this more user friendly than the Nest. I replaced our Nest with this Ecobee and will be changing out our thermostat as well. We have it set up to sense when we’re not home, so the temperature can increased/decreased to become more energy efficient.

Starting the account, it offers you clear and easy instructions for set up/installation. I especially appreciated the emphasis on trying to keep things not overwhelming by allowing for you to take things step by step. Overall I feel the thermostat has been efficient and easy to use. Having access to change the temperature while I’m out of the house is great! I would recommend this thermostat to anyone looking to upgrade! I loved the mounting piece to effectively cover any previous installations.

I love that it's compatible with Google Assistant and has a full color touch screen. It's energy efficient because it learns your heating patterns and can tell by location sharing when you're not at home. You can control the temperature even when you're away on vacation, it's super handy. I always turn my smart thermostat on from my phone when I'm almost home and it's cold winter weather so the house is warm when I arrive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For someone who’s been in the Apple ecosystem since the very first iPhone was released in 2007, my smart house somehow ended up being all Google Nest products since they were pre wired into the new construction house and it really vexed me that despite working with Siri, it wasn’t as seamless of an integration as I wished it to be. Cue in Ecobee! The installation, scheduling and efficiency is parallel with the Google Nest Learning Thermostat and as you see, it’s even recognized in the Google Home app but the biggest and most amazing feature is that it works seamlessly with Apple Home!!! Like omg! I absolutely love it for that simple reason and now I’m soooo tempted to swap all the smart home features to Apple Home compatible ones! 💸🤦🏻♀️💸

I love that it’s touchscreen (last one was not) - making it so easy to use. My husband has used the app a few times and says it’s super handy to be able to monitor temperatures away. It also gives a head up if there are issues with heating/cooking etc which is handy. I feel like we’ve saved in our heating bills as we can choose the exact time when we want different temperatures. For example, we keep the house a little cooler when we sleep. Overall this has been such a positive product for us and our home!

The installation was extremely easy, and took way less time than the suggested 45 minutes. The design of the thermostat itself is sleek, and fits in perfectly with my newly remodeled home. In fact, the old thermostat was the only thing that hadn't been touched during the remodel! So what a welcome change this was. My home does not have wifi yet, so I wasn't able to schedule through the app quite yet. But, from what I have seen, the app is extremely user friendly and I look forward to using it set up a consistent temperature schedule!
