Fantastic device for our new heat pump installation. It took a day or so for ecobee to learn our home and for my wife and I to learn the ecobee. But it is very intuitive. No problems.

Easy to use. Easy to set up. Started saving money on the day

I've had the thermostat for about 3 weeks. The contractor I used set it up on my phone and explained everything to me. It is so easy to use. Best purchase I've made in a long time.

I got this system in the spring and was pleased with the auto switching from air to furnace with the hot days and cold nights in the high deserts of New Mexico.

Last summer got new HVAC system, it came with Ecobee's Premium Thermostat, added three Smart Doorbell Cameras, two are connected to in-door chime, using individual adapters, one wired to ding for the garage door, one wired to ding-dong for the front door, the other not connected to a chime for the back door. With one Smart Sensor for Rooms included added four more Smart Sensors for Rooms to balance the temperature and for motion monitoring. Put Smart Sensor for Doors and Windows on all entry doors and including the Aluminum Garage doors. The Premium Thermostat works great, except when power is out, we get a lot of storms. Wish they include a internal battery, so monitoring and Smart Security was still functional with the power out. I do have a mobil whole house generator, as it is stored when not in use, power is not out for long. Do like the integration with Apple Homekit/Alexa/Google Home can modify temperature, but it can't change comfort settings or scheduling. You can setup a pin to lock down the Thermostat, but you can't lock down the Ecobee App. Would be nice to create permissions or roles. The Ecobee App works well with managing the thermostat, but a lot of functionality is on the device not configurable thru the Ecobee App. Love the integration with Samsung Smart Things for monitoring alerts. I get alerts when the sensors sense presence or motion. Also can use IFTTT, but that is also a paid subscription service. I like the look of the Premium Thermostat on the wall, looks like a premium made device. Made sure to seal the wall and put a thermal sheet behind the surface of the thermostat so it can't get the temperature from the wall. Really great feature, my compressor works well at a certain temperatures, with settings in the thermostat and the weather feature it won't allow my compressor to run if it is too cold outside. Which allows me to leave the thermostat in auto mode all year long to call for heat or cold all depending on the weather, although it would have been nice if they had a actual outdoor temperature sensor. The indoor air quality sensor is nice to have but it only reports, no actions can be taken like to turn on an accessory fan or open or close a damper. But you can configure the fan to run for a certain time an hour. With the built-in humidity sensor, I also have a humidifier attached which during the winter when called for heat if it was too dry it would auto turn on, really loved that. Now the Ecobee integration with all the additional Ecobee devices and Sensors. With the Ecobee light Switch when in Vacation mode I can have it turn on or off a light to simulating someone is home. The Smart Doorbell Cameras, it rings on the thermostat, thru homekit, Alexa and Google, lets me get more info thru integrated services. Integration with the Doorbells is impressive, shows live video, and when someone presses the door bell the feed shows up on the thermostat. Love the integration with the Thermostat and the whole house chime, wish they gave you options to the have distinctive rings, hard to know which doorbell was pushed as they have the same ring sound. Same thing with Smart Sensors for Door and Windows, they can also chime on the thermostat so you know a door or window was opened or closed. But they have the same audio so you have to go to the door or look at the app to figure which door was opened. If they had distinctive audio you would know just from the sound. Wish something was displayed on the Thermostat as to door opened as well. So many possibilities for integration. But the paywall is a hugh negative, don't understand the need to charge for package detection and rich notifications which have nothing to do with cloud services, same for pause when door is open for Smart Sensors for Doors and Windows, or motion sensing is disabled. Would have given 5 stars, these devices are extremely expensive for what you get after free trial is over. Subscription services are good but once that goes away, Trying to save money not transfer money saved to ecobee's greedy pockets. MSRP is a lot for what you get out of box once subscription ends, maybe charge more up front or give an unlock code so we can get full functionality? If they wanted to charge more for the device I would have paid more to keep the non cloud services, but any money saved would go to their subscription. I am hopeful they will ditch the subscription for non cloud services, one day, but until then it works as I need it to.

We just love our ECOBEE Smart Thermostat Premium. Very easy to use. Has many display features like, indoor air quality, indoor/outdoor temperatures, four day weather forecast, indoor humidity level. Still need more time to learn all the features.

Upgraded furnace required this unit. So far so good! No regrets on purchasing.
