EcoBee - Great informative thermostat !
I've had this EcoBee Smart Thermostat Premium for a couple months and absolutely love it! It looks great on my wall, has many features and the App is super easy to use. Installation was easy and both sensors work perfect. At one point, I called the help line and uploaded photos into the App so they saw what I saw. The best, absolutely the best I have experienced! This EcoBee shows 4 days of weather, chance of rain, air quality, 3 time/temp settings for morning, day, night that I can change at any time from my phone or wall unit. It works with other Smart devices as well. I highly recommend EcoBee!

Moved to new home, missed Ecobee.
Had Ecobee products in home before moving south. Missed the products, so purchased doorbell, door monitors, and premium thermostat for new home. Great products. Like that I can monitor things while traveling. Need for product line: An Ecobee outdoor camera that is not a doorbell would be great for back yard.

I purchased my thermostat from my local utility company and had it professionally installed. So far so good and looking forward to learning more about and utilizing its additional features. Does Not Save Energy
Thermostat works alright but it does not follow the local peak time of use energy schedule. The Ecobee app is registered to my local power company but the peak time of use hours are off for Colorado. My local peak time of use hours are 5pm - 9pm but the thermostat thinks my peak hours are 3pm - 7pm. Unfortunately there is no way to change this :(

Missing obvious key features
I recently had an Ecobee premium installed replacing a ten year old Nest, and I’m so incredibly frustrated and disappointed with it since it lacks quite a few obvious functions that my *ten year old* Nest had. Things it lacks: - Native geofencing setup for “away”: Ecobee+ has “smart away,” but it only activates after two hours of being away, and seemingly it’s based on the (not especially accurate) occupancy sensors. As someone who often comes and goes throughout the day, it’s frustrating that it will almost never switch to away mode. I have an iPhone and was able to work my way through Google Home Settings for a sort of workaround, but it took quite a bit of trial and error. Why can’t the away function allow more customization, like changing the minimum time away before switching to Away mode? - No ability to preset fan runtime: in comfort settings you can seemingly either set the fan to “always on” during a timeframe (like, constant running for 10 hours straight) or “auto” where it only runs while the furnace or ac are a to ely running. Nest allows you to run the fan on demand (and it’s easy to find the feature on both the app and the device), OR to set thresholds like “15 minutes per hour.” Why can’t o control this?? - Numerous settings only accessible in device: I can’t even name which ones, but quite a few controls can only be accessed on the device itself. I don’t just mean things like the wiring, but like the fan controls mentioned above— only on the device. The fact that even the textbox to write this review doesn’t auto fit to a phone screen is a perfect example of the major design flaws from ecobee. Don’t buy it. Don’t do it, get a Nest instead.

Received the two thermostats quickly. Because we had guests I waited a few days to install the units (1 upstairs and 1 downstairs). Easy to install if you take a photo of the existing wires. The thermostat along with the ecobee app on the Iphone made it easy to setup. Both have been operating on HEAT only and temperature and fan controls are excellent. I'm glad that we replaced the two Nest units that were installed by the home builder in 2020.

Had Thermostat for about a month. The eco+ is a great feature as well as the ability to monitor temperature as it is in a rental. Can monitor operation as well keep track of a wealth of information via wifi
