ecobee Smart Thermostat Enhanced: Energy Star Certified, Compatible with Alexa & Google Assistant, 3-Year Warranty

I had ecobee product for about 6 years then I upgraded to this one .

I used a Nest thermostat for many years. So many, in fact, that they stopped supporting it, forcing me to upgrade. I was unhappy when Nest was purchased by Google, so I did my homework, and decided to go with the Ecobee instead. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now, and so far, I’m very impressed. Physically, it’s not as luxurious as the Nest, but I used the app 99% of the time, so that is almost irrelevant. Functionally, it is much better than the Nest, with more configurability, and many more reporting options, which is what is most important to me.

I've had 2 ecobee enhanced for the past month and being able to control everything from an app is amazing! Not having to wonder if everything was hut off and being able to have a comfortable temp by the time I get home is great!

Way better then my old programmable thermostat, plus now I can see it in apple homekit with all the rest of my home automation.

Wanted to upgrade a 15 year old thermostat with a smart stat. Installed myself and programmed it. The step by step install in the app made it very easy.

Had new hvac system installed and wanted to get rid of my old 2nd gen N**t thermostat . Opted for the enhanced Ecobee thermostat . Installation was a breeze with the included c wire adapter. The app is such a great interface . Easy to navigate . The real plus was that I was able to connect to my Generac generator and any notifications show on my thermostat. I’ve been thru my share of smart thermostats and the Ecobee is by far my favorite. It’s worth every penny!!

We've had this for about 3 weeks. The features are very good and easy to set up.

I just replaced a competitor brand with 2 ecobee Enhanced, and I wish I hadn't. They're for a cottage in Canadian summers and winters, so it needs hours to pre-heat / cool, which makes the occupancy motion sensor adjustments useless. There is no simple "away" function offered on the ecobee, it requires 3 steps. If ever you have more than 1 ecobee thermostat, it requires 3 steps for each thermostat, as there is no way to group them together. You have to change each one individually, so 4 thermostats means 4X 3-step adjustments, each time you are set to arrive or leave. HomeKit won't handle the "away for now" function well, unless you're willing to sacrifice being able to change the thermostat temperature on each thermostat to "until next setting", meaning that if you increase the temperature one random afternoon because you're slightly cold, it will manually stay that temperature until manually changed, overriding the next program (not to mention that it requires a HomePod or Apple TV, and even then, there is no easy away setting). Google Home has ridiculously limited functionality that it's not even worth it. Ecobee support says that Alexa will let you group the thermostats, but I'd be surprised given the failings of other smart home apps and ecobee itself. It's unfortunate that the thermostat company has to rely on a third party for functionality that it should inherently have. I'm not a fan of my previous thermostat company since they discontinued all wifi functionality for 1st and 2nd gen thermostats, but I certainly wish that I had replaced my discontinued thermostats with new ones from them instead for this type of functionality. Otherwise, the Ecobee is good looking with neat features, but I'm not sure that the engineers have ever used their thermostats in the Canadian climate...which is odd for a Canadian company. I hope this helps; these are things I would have liked to know before purchasing.

Love all the features with the simplicity of self installation, programming and looks nice as well! Great features to help save energy & money, plus you could add sensors for odd temperature rooms & much more. Best value I could find & I've tested the accuracy with my professional grade temperature gun.

I had this installed with my new HVAC system in my vacation home in Florida. I can view my system and make adjustments on my phone. The contractor set it up but it didn’t look that hard. Would definitely recommend getting this.
