Best Door Bell Camera
This is one of the cheapest door cameras and I can also say one of the best! I love that I can use this door camera WITHOUT a monthly subscription. I also love that I have the option to hard wire it in or just put in batteries. The batteries last 2.5 - 3 months. It was also very easy to setup on the app, just connect the app to your wifi and scan the QR code on the camera or box. Literally took less than 5 mins. The camera quality is also amazing & it has a night mode. I will definitely recommend this door bell camera.

The camera works well and captures everything. However the battery life is terrible especially when you have to take it from the door to replace the batteries. Also if you want to see videos you either have to pay for an additional subscription or buy other multiple components. Now I did my research before purchase so I knew they’d be some catches. In any case the camera still works for free and I’m able to see what’s going on at the door at anytime without having to go to the door which is what I wanted it for. The image quality is great and installation could have been easier.

Dead Ring doorbell to Blink
Bit hard to get it to connect with my private Wi-fi but it finally managed it. Replacing a dead Ring. I also wasn't aware that the Sync module has to be plugged into an outlet 24/7/365. I had trouble finding an accessible, appropriate one. Had I known, I might not have chosen the Blink. But the Li-ion batteries, (batteries included), should last 2 years. No removing and recharging doorbell for several hours at a time is a plus. The Sync module is also needed for the alert sounds to function. I do very much like being able to choose between different alert sounds. Ring doesn't have that. The Ring doorbell sound is becoming annoying. I finally put up a ring the doorbell sign so people are actually using this doorbell instead of knocking or stupidly scratching on the screen mesh ?! as with the Ring-which was mounted in the same spot. Getting used to the differences between the two systems. I have not decided about a subscription yet, or whether or not to download "Neighbors" as I had it with Ring. It's kind of peaceful without constant firework/missile/gunshot? posts. D

Dont buy, battery cost will drain your walletl
Was so ready to love this. Don’t buy get a real doorbell camera, the battery lasts a couple of months if that if you have regular to high traffic or cold weather. So you have to replace 3 new lithium 2 AA batteries about every 1-3 months. Not to mention that the transmitter takes long to respond to a ring specially if the device isn’t literally right next to the Wi-Fi router, which nobody has. Get a doorbell camera from a reputable camera company not these failed projects @mazon is putting out just to stop them later on like the health bracelet they released and cancelled. Not hard to install but what’s the point if you have to keep taking it off to replace batteries. Not very reliable if the batteries die and you don’t have more on hand already. The image quality is like that of a boost mobile camera from 2000.

Reliable home monitoring with Blink
We upgraded our Blink doorbell in October to the version with the oval chime button after using the older version with the round chime button for some time. With the older doorbell, we could never get the chime to work properly with our Blink Mini cameras, which made monitoring less seamless. The upgrade solved this issue immediately and also provides a better, full view of anyone approaching our doorway, which is a noticeable improvement. Blink continues to be a cost effective solution for home monitoring. I would not classify it as a complete security system because the video clips are not continuous, but they give a clear reference of what happened, especially when used alongside our other cameras around the property. The clips are automatically stored in the cloud with our annual subscription, which makes it easy to check activity remotely.. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy to access clips, review activity, and share videos if needed. Blink remains very convenient for monitoring activity, tracking deliveries, and keeping an eye on different parts of the property without relying solely on our wired system. Pros: • Easy installation and setup • Oval chime button works with Blink Minis reliably • Full view of visitors approaching the door • Cloud storage is convenient and accessible • Intuitive app interface for reviewing and sharing clips • Cost effective for supplemental home monitoring Cons: • Video clips are not contiguous, so not a standalone security solution • Limited advanced security features compared to full alarm systems Overall, we find the Blink Doorbell with oval chime button to be an excellent supplement for home monitoring, especially as we already have other security measures in place. It's reliable, easy to use, and gives good reference footage, making it practical for everyday monitoring, remote observation, and incident documentation.
