[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Design & Drill Take Along Kit is a very fun toy that kids of many ages will enjoy playing. The case makes keeping the pieces together easier and helps maintain an organized space. Given how many little screws there are though it is a great travel toy to use in your lap, it can become a bit messy and it is easy to drop pieces. I'd love to see some pattern cards but for free creation this is perfect. It's sturdy and well made and the drill is perfect for little hands. It's a great toy that we really enjoyed playing with.

It is also very good in increasing tier fine motor skills. The only con to this is that it can get boring because there's no music which kids love and there could have been more colors. Overall my kids love because they now feel like daddy working and using a screwdriver which for them is very fun.

The drill actually works and you can drill the toy bits etc. It's do much fun and my child enjoyed every minute of it and carries it everywhere! I highly recommend! This one is going to be a hot item for Christmas!!!

This toy is also great for any younger learning to hold things great for fine motor skills. This toy is great for parents to play with there kids and for occupational therapist teaching students fine motor skills. Love that it can teach colors and patterns. I would 10/10 recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My young ones love this toy because it was fun to play with especially with the fully functional screwdriver. The younger ones love the repetitive play of screwing the different colors to make a pattern or sometimes randomly but the older ones got tired after a few minutes of playing with the younger ones. I like that the toy is gender neutral for both genders can enjoy and play with the toy. Two cons is the latch doesn't secure to take the kit on the go and I found the battery compartment for hard to open. Overall fun toy we got an extra one to give as a gift during the holidays.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 year old loves this toy!!!! He got it yesterday and seriously has not put it down since. He even slept with it last night haha! It very interactive and help his hand eye coordination. He loves that he can pack it up and go anywhere and everywhere with it and get to "drilling." Definitely a must if you have a toddler that loves tools or even a big kid, it has also been keeping my 9 year old entertained.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for kids especially using hand eye. My little guy sat here for hours playing with the drill. He enjoyed switching out the bits. The container feels like a cheap plastic so I can see it being broken easily but so far he is enjoying it.

I have two boys, 4 & 2, and they often fight over wanting to play with the same toy. This Design & Drill Workshop is one of the first toys they can play with side by side. It includes two battery operated tools and two hand operated. So you could even have more kids playing along as well. It comes with lots of screws, which are easy to take in and out. This is great for the hand-eye coordination for my youngest. Beyond just open play, I like that the set also came with a design guide. Lots of different designs, that range in easy to hard. As other's mentioned, the case is a bit cumbersome. The set come with so many bolts, that it is nearly impossible to get them all back in the case and close the case. That being said, my boys play with this toy a ton and we just leave it sitting open in our playroom. My boys love it, so I do too!

This is a very fun tool for my 5 year old son to use. We have been working on patterns and this is perfectly engaging for him to use and learn with. What 5 year old boy doesn't like to use tools?!! We highly recommend it!

Child (with special needs)enjoys satisfaction of drilling screws independently. Drill sound and bright colours add to to enjoyment. Child uses the toy independently to create random 'patterns' but we also use it to encourage the development of colour matching, spatial awareness and turn taking.

I would like to be able to tell you what a great toy this is but my son has been unable to play it because we cannot open the battery compartment on the drill. It seems to require some microscopic screwdriver to loosen three tiny screws that are also in deep slots making it even more difficult. It's IMPOSSIBLE and ridiculously finicky for something as simple as putting the batteries in a TOY.

My boys love the Design & Drill Take Along Toolkit. They can spend hours just drilling and un-drilling. Everything is included (except the 3 AAA batteries required) and everything fits nicely inside. There are tons of bolts and three different bits, as well as an activity guide with 10 designs and of course the electronic screwdriver. The carrying case is the activity board in which you drill into. Since my boys are tool fanatics they love practicing on the different bolts and designs. As far as educational toy goes, I would say it is. I have my boys count out the bits, colors, and listening to directions as we work on the different design ideas. It is also good for practicing holding the screwdriver steady and drilling and removing the bolts. They also have to make sure they are using the right bit for the different bolts. Overall, the Design & Drill Toolkit is perfect for fun at home as well as on-the-go. It keeps kids busy and there is nothing I would change about it!
