Description
Book Synopsis
A manager will not be remembered for what he planned, but for what he achieved. Much has been written about strategic planning, but not about execution. There is a clear methodology for planning, but execution is fundamentally practical and there is no single recipe; it requires judgment and discipline, knowing how to apply prudential knowledge. We will execute poorly if we are far from day-to-day action, or if we do not know how to follow up on projects, which leads to failure to achieve objectives. Executing by executing breaks down these and other problems and teaches a wealth of tools to solve them, based on the authors' experience, but also on classic texts on management and leadership. Here you will find concepts such as SWOT analysis, SMART objectives, managing by walking, the three pillars for building trust, psychological safety, the Pygmalion effect, key performance indicators, dashboards, the pre-mortem exercise, the Shingo model, the Agile methodology and many more. It doesn't matter if you have a large company, a small business or any other personal or professional project: this book will help you achieve an excellent execution of your strategy to make all your goals a reality. Remember that planning is good, but executing is... better.About the Author
