This circuit is then elevated to new heights bythe Lift switch which selects between 3 levels of input gain. Lift effectivelyworks as an input boost, goosing the front end of the drive circuit hittingharder, and producing a more compressed, saturated tone while still retainingits dynamic feel and transparent tone. Gain and Vol knobs adjust for exactdrive and output levels. EQ of the pedal consists of a Treble knob for tamingtopping and an active Bass knob to cut or boost bass frequencies. Bass isespecially helpful for adding girth to single coil guitars or tightening thelow end on warmer humbucker guitars. The Spruce Goose also features mechanicalrelay true bypass switching with latching and momentary action. Tap thefootswitch for a normal latching toggle or press and hold the footswitch for amomentary blast of gain and boost. Great for stepping out in front of the mixfor pulling a quick lick or moment of sonic chaos.Versatile FootswitchThe soft footswitch works both like a standard latching footswitch and amomentary footswitch. The latching action means each press and release of thefootswitch will toggle between bypass and effect modes. A momentary changebetween bypass and effect occurs when you press and hold the footswitch. TheSpruce Goose changes state immediately upon pressing the footswitch. If you continueto hold the footswitch for more than half a second it will return to the previousstate when you release the footswitch. Momentary hold action can be disabledcompletely by performing the following procedure, first, power down the SpruceGoose. Press and hold the footswitch. While holding down the footswitch, applypower to the Spruce Goose. Continue to hold down the footswitch. After about 2seconds, the LED blinks. A slow blink means momentary footswitch holds aredisabled. A fast blink means momentary footswitch holds are enabled. Releasethe footswitch. The momentary footswitch hold setting is remembered throughpower-cycles so you can set it and forget it.
