I've owned several low cost TVs over the years, including a Westinghouse, Hisense, and this Element which is worst TV out of all of them. This is probably the worst TV I've ever owned, period. Never have I been so frustrated with one TV ever since I got it new: very cumbersome remote connectivity, freezes all the time, the TV interface itself lags, occasionally has distorted picture which requires a reboot. Today is the final straw where it stopped responding to remote signals in any way that makes sense. Element remote signal: Power button works, youtube/netflix buttons work. Nothing else is responsive. From a Comcast remote: volume up = right, volume down = left, nothing else works or is responsive. Reboot/repower/battery change nothing will help. I'm convinced that the remote receiver module is acting up. Finally pulling the plug on this TV and replacing it. Total life span = 1 year.
Good TV overall. Have had it for a couple months. Lots of hdmi and usb ports along with a helpful user interface.I am confused however about 1 thing. The ypbpr and component input jacks, they’ve been replaced with a single jack for each. It also confused me because in the input selection it shows all the ports are present. I couldn’t find anything about it online. Have they been removed and replaced? An issue I’ve had since purchase though is one of the hdmi ports may have been damaged. There is a constant flickering in the very bottom right that only happens on 1 input. Otherwise it is working well.
We love it when it shows a program. We have trouble finding what we want. Two little dog bones flicker on the screen, then, when we go home, there is usually a yellow stripe across where it should say home, but no letters. From times it showed more, I figured out 'search', but then have to count across the alphabet as I spell out the name we are looking for. We like to watch a movie in the evening. It usually takes around 10 minutes to get one we haven't seen or want to watch. We take a shot on the dark screen, and keep trying until we can tell, when the movie begins, if it is what we are looking for. OUr kids went together to get us this special gift, and we do not want them to know about the problems we have with it. Can you tell us how to make it work right?

Bought this TV a year ago from Target and regretted it. The time and date under setting for this TV is ALWAYS wrong, so when I use my online TV apps like Fubo TV or Sling TV...it will show different programs then what is supposed to be showing bc of the date and time. The only way around this was to use TV subscription apps on a RoKu stick that we now use with this TV. Also, it would constantly freeze when watching Sling TV if I used the app on the TV but again if I use the app on the Roku stick then it is fine. Also, the remote can sometimes become disconnected and it will take a few seconds for it to reconnect, which is odd. So yes we still use it daily in our kids playroom, the picture is great and the volume is great as well but we paid right under $400 for this TV and do not think it was worth it especially the DATE AND TIME issue but if you find it at a really good price then go for it at your own risk, but I would recommend a Roku or Amazon Fire device when using the apps.
