  • A: Actually, Plex IS available as an app on this Roku TV. Also, there are hidden channels that you can install, but only by going to the online website and adding them in your profile.

  • A: Since the Element expert isn't very specific (nor was your question) I will try to provide more details on how Roku works. Roku is an OS (operating system) that is not the same as Android or Apple or FireTV OS etc. etc. You cannot download any Apple or Android apps to install on any Roku TV. Roku OS has something they call "Channels." They technically are not "apps" as we are used to on say a Smartphone. Developers need to sign up and register with Roku to be able to develop/create "channels" to use on Roku TV's. That said, you can usually find the popular channels on Roku's store such as Youtube, Netflix, Peacock, Hulu, Disney+ (I think it's on there), and so forth. Something like a third party app like say Plex or something than no, you cannot install that type of stuff. The easiest tv to install apps on and with most compatibility is a tv that has Android TV built in as you can install or sideload any app from the Play Store or third party apps. Then FireTV OS televisions are based on android so it is a bit more involved but can also install android apps via sideloading.. If just needing it to be able to stream video from the usual suspects like netflix, hulu etc. than a Roku TV should work just fine. If you have a Roku TV but doesn't have the apps you want then you can always look into getting another device such as the google chromecast with google tv or a fire tv stick or something etc. to extend what you can do on the TV.

We purchase this tv at the end of November 2022 and due to my mom being hospitalized, we did not put it up right away. My sister purchased one as well and her tv is still brand new in the box. The TV screen went black and there is no picture. You can hear the people talking but nothing on the screen (less than 5 months). We went on YouTube and there are so many videos of customers complaining about the same thing. Please don't purchase. We are past the window to exchange. Very upset.

I just opened my Black Friday 2022 television out of the box today, March 3, 2023. The tv is fine except it doesn’t seem too sturdy. It sways back and forth while sitting on the stand. This is my first Roku tv after only owning Samsung Televisions; so I don’t know if this is normal or not. Does anyone know? I would hate for it to fall over.

Only works some of the time. The TV will randomly not show the picture just a black screen, the sound plays, the buttons work…just no image. When it does this the TV also won’t turn off (sometimes) and we have to pull the plug from the outlet. When it does work it is ok. We have only had the TV since Nov 2022.

I liked the image and colors are bright but since I bought this tv in November the remote didn't work it is almost march and I am still trying to make my guarantee work. Element company has requested my information several times different guys contacting me and they ask for the same information again. Honestly has been a nightmare.

Bought this tv last year during black friday, and one year and month later the lcd already is going bad and showing a blue vertical line going down the screen. Already talked to customer service, and they don't want to do anything about it, because it's out of warranty. Never buy an element tv again, complete waste of money.
