Good for the price.....but
I think this is an utterly competitive mic in terms of sound quality per price point. No need to set up, which makes it much more versatile for those that prefer a plug-and-play model as it should be. I have used the Neo for a month or so and overall has exceeded expectations in performance....however, it should be noted that one of its biggest issues is the mute "button." While it is convenient to have a touch-sensitive mute button to prevent feedback of a tactile press, I find it to be way too sensitive. Often I would find the mic muting by itself, which is an absolute frustration as I wouldn't even notice until someone tells me. I've had multiple instances where I've needed to mute quickly, only for the button to not even work completely, further making my experience much more of an annoyance than it should be. I really wanted to enjoy this product, but the mute button in itself is ridiculously annoying and needs to be re-engineered or software updated to prevent accidental muting.

This is a serious design flaw, and it needs to be addressed. We strongly recommend updating the software to include a “double-tap to mute” feature or at least providing the option in the software settings for users to enable this. This should be a straightforward software adjustment and will significantly improve usability. The mute button on the Elgato Wave Neo is far too sensitive. It detects even the slightest heat proximity, causing the microphone to mute unexpectedly while in use. Despite talking 5 cm away from the microphone, accidental muting occurs frequently—whether from a chin coming too close or simply being in the proximity of body heat. There is no clear notification other than a small red light, which is easy to miss when focusing on other tasks. his issue is frustrating and makes the product less reliable. We expect this feature to be revised and improved in future updates.

Now if you want to try extra features then you must download Elgato Wave Link software super fire but straight out the box the audio is great.

Its truly plug n play as I took it out of the box and plugged it right in didnt touch a setting and it sounded amazing.

Plug & play to the MAX
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has such an ease of use, I was able to plug it up to my iPhone 15 up to it and shoot a video. Of course the experience is made best hooking up to your computer to make use of the Wave Link software. But hooking up to your phone with a USB-C cable means professional audio for your budget friendly vertical content shoots.

Feature packed and well built for it's size/price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm completely blown away by the quality of this product! Out of the Neo line, I was probably most skeptical about this. They found a way to take everything great from the Wave line, and make it TINY, yet sturdy. It doesn't feel cheap at all, the capsule is very solid, and the stand is blew me away with its heft. The plug and play aspect of this mic is so great and replacing the Rode USB mic on my Mac setup was a breeze. It also performed better than the Rode right out of the box, and the Wave Link software has made a huge leap in quality since I used it last. It took SECONDS to add effects and dial in my voice.

Impressive sound out of the box!
Wow! I was totally surprised by the out-of-the-box performance of the Wave Neo. It sounded great. I decided to tune in a bit more to my liking using the Wave Link software, but honestly, I could have used it as-is for office meetings. Really well tuned and truly plug-and-play.

The audio quality is excellent, set up with simple. The stand works well to keep it close to your mouth but also can fit on an arm!
