Q&A(13)
Q: How do you open this thing?? Toddler (and adult) meltdowns trying to break it open!
A: There’s a dent place on the container and then I used the scissor to lift the lid up and I was able to take off and place back.
submitted byCAmom - 1 year agoA: There’s a one inch section around the largest ledge that has a cut out piece you have to pry off, and then you can left the inner part of the lid (I used a knife to pry it up) from that inset.

Q: Is there an expiration date on this? I want to buy for Christmas, but don't want it to go back before then.
A: Elmer's products are tested to our safety and performance requirements after simulation for 2 years of lapsed time. We know through actual experience that they meet safety and performance requirements well beyond this time frame. Product sold to consumers within a reasonable time, 9-12 months beyond the 2 years shelf life guidance, should perform as expected for consumers. Slime should be discarded if it starts to change color or odor. Consumers should always thoroughly wash their hands before and after playing with slime.

Q: Does this stain clothes, wood, etc?
A: It might do that, but please don't test it Deb.
submitted byCelestialfox458 - 2 years agoA: Hi, Deb. Elmer's slime should be kept away from wallpaper, painted walls, furniture, carpeting, and all other materials that cannot be laundered. To remove from clothes, wash in hot cycle and repeat as needed. Do not use pre-wash or chlorine bleach. For additional questions or concerns, please contact Elmer's directly. Stay safe!

Q: Hey! I really want this slime, but in some videos I've seen the slime is not really that stretchy. Is it stiff? Also, is there enough fishbowl beads to make a good, crunchy slime? Thank you!
A: Hey! It's definitely more of a putty texture, but it's very much like slime. I have gotten 3 clear tubs and I added mica powder for colorant, and scent. It seemed to deactivate it to the point where it's a perfect slime texture. You will have to add borax once a week though.
