Description
Joe Wagner's Elouan Pinot Noir is a beautiful wine from Oregon that showcases the best of the Pacific Northwest. Crafted from high-quality Pinot Noir grapes sourced from vineyards along the rugged coastline, this wine is elegant and complex. On the nose, it boasts ripe black cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry with hints of vanilla and oak. On the palate, it is smooth and silky, with flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and cranberry, intertwined with spice and earth. The grapes are harvested at the peak of ripeness and fermented using traditional techniques. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, adding a subtle layer of vanilla and spice. The result is a rich, complex wine that captures the unique terroir of Oregon. Whether enjoyed with a special meal or on its own, Joe Wagner's Elouan Pinot Noir is sure to impress.

Not for me
Unfortunately this was not a hit at my house. It was a bit dry reminding me more of a white wine really. I was hoping for a even just a hint of berry but no.

I don’t want to give this a bad rating, I am realizing maybe I am just not a wine person. I love moscatos, but they are sweet. This was not for me.

Robust Taste
This wine was the perfect pairing with a steak dinner. It went down smoothly and had a great taste. It was a thicker liquid as well which made me appreciate the taste and feel more as well. Not only did I enjoy the flavor, but so did my company. After a few glasses I was feeling pretty good, but not drunk or tipsy. It was just enough to be enjoyable. I would recommend this with a nice hearty meal!

When we received the bottle, it was nicely packaged. I sure thought it would've broken in the mail. However, it didn't. The wine was dry and notes of cherry were in it. If you have a palate for dry red wine, this is it.

Overall good wine for the price. Paired well with steak. It was fruity but not overly sweet.

Good full dry wine
This red wine is a very good and full dry wine. I like that you can tell there isn't any fillers in it.

I will admit I am not much of a red wine drinker, but I wanted to give this one a try for a change of pace. My initial impression was that it tasted smooth. For the price, it is definitely a nice tasting wine, and one I can see myself picking up for friends and family that prefer red wine.

This is a good solid wine. It's not too dry, and not too heavy. I used it for cooking, as I prefer to drink whites. It paired well with the beef - didn't overpower it. I'd look for it again in the future.

A Strong, Dry Red
Let me start by saying I am not a big wine drinker. I only have sips and that is on special occasions. But, the hubs likes wine and we have it to offer to company. This bottle has a twist top, which was surprising to me. It made it super easy to open, but I don't think I would give as a gift because of this. Twist tops seem to read cheap in my eyes. In any case, I found the wine very strong tasting and quite dry. The hubs said it was okay, but I don't think this will be a future purchase for us.

Great Red
Elouan Pinot Noir is a very nice red wine. I'd recommend drinking it with food, such as a nice steak. Not terribly dry, which I consider a plus.

So I am more of a sweet wine drinker and wasn't sure I would like this wine. It is on the dry side but I actually liked it and it didn't leave a bitter aftertaste like some other dry wines do for me.

Strong-Flat-Dry Taste
Grown in the foothills of Oregon, this 2017 Oregon Pinot Noir red wine is rich in color but dry in taste. Elouan, which means good light, has a deep rich dark red color; a strong acidic, flat, dry taste; mild aroma; and bitter after-taste.

While I do not typically buy wine at Target, I'm always looking for new daily drinkers so I was excited to give this a try. Pinot noir is not one of my go-to grapes, but I've had Elouan's rose of pinot noir previously and thought it was ok so I gave this a try. Unfortunately this wine is nothing short of horrendous. I had a friend who prefers pinot noir try it as well and she agreed. We poured out the rest of the bottle - not something I do often. I don't even believe that time would do this wine any favors.

i like it!!
i definitely prefer red wines, and gravitate towards red blends, zinfandel, and cabernets, but occasionally like a pinot noirs! this bottle was a nice surprise! it was smooth, and mellow...very easy to drink! slightly "oaky", not sweet...not bitter, or strong at all. I think this is a good wine for fans of pinot noirs, but also anyone who enjoys a soft, mellow red. i would even suggest this for someone is trying to "get into" red wine, or wants to try a red wine that isn't too complicated!!
