A: Each of our Ember Mugs, Travel Mugs, Tumblers, and Cups are compatible with each of our charging coasters, regardless of product generation. This means if you have a charging coaster from your first generation Ember Mug or Travel Mug, your Ember Mug 2 will still charge just as effectively on your old coaster.

A: Pairing your Mug with a device is totally optional and your Ember Mug will still keep your beverage warm without using the Ember App. By default the Mug will maintain its default temperature of 135F. If you wish to change the set temperature you will need to pair with a compatible device. That said, once you pair and set a custom temperature, your Mug will remember its last-set temperature from the Ember App. If you like it a few degrees hotter and don't want to use the app, you can pair once, set the desired temperature, and unpair or delete the app (or just ignore it). Do Not Recommend
Charger is awful! The small pin continually gets recessed even when I carefully put the mug on it to charge. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to carefully fix the pin to enable charging. It works for a while then continues to recess! I’m so unhappy! I’ve tried reaching out to customer service but cannot get any response. Waste of $$. Do Not spend your money on this poorly made gadget.

Terrible battery life
I have had this ember since December of last year. While I love the concept the battery is terrible. I get about an hour out of it each morning before the battery dies. For the cost it should definitely last much longer

"ember" needs a new name. This mug is mot worth the hupe. Recviews are all free product must writes.
I’m honestly in shock that this mug has gotten so many “rave reviews” for a $150 heated mug that should stay and keep your coffee hot for at least, oh, I don’t know, 30 minutes, if that? Mine Peter’s out in 25 mins if I’m lucky and it goes from 100% charged to 0 in Mach speed. The charger plug js bulky and has to live someplace with a dedicated space to stick the overpriced mug that serves as a heated mug for 1.4 seconds. Such a rip! How long to justify keeping this when it’s not even functioning at a $20 price Point. I’ve recalibrated mine reset the Bluetooth it stays hot for maybe 30 minutes so I’ll just keep a regular coffee mug and drink my coffee faster. Oh and not a lid included with a $150 piece of NOPE! No thanks. Not worth the hype.

I enjoyed this mug for several months. But less than a year later it quit holding a charge and it wouldn’t charge on the base unless it was sitting perfectly right. Not worth the price tag unfortunately.

Love My Ember
I received my Ember mug as a Christmas present and I have to say I am more than impressed. It keeps my coffee hot until I’m finished or it’s empty. I have wasted more cups of coffee because it cooled down. Not anymore!

Okay I love that this mug can keep my coffee piping hot. I hate that it can only do it for an hour before the battery dies. I charged my mug overnight and it still fizzled out. For a mug this expensive, I’d expect a longer lasting battery.

Great gift
Bought this for my wife on Christmas. She loves it, keeps her coffee and tea warm while she gets ready for work or during long work meetings.. it’s only been about a week, but no complaints thus far.. the app helps you set temperatures suitable for you.
