Q: Does this come with the power cord as well or is it just the coaster itself?

  • A: No you just get the power cord. I ordered 2 of these and the coasters were missing from both. Seems be an issue even with orders directly from Ember. You may get both, you may not. Good luck!

  • A: Correction..sorry my first one was a used coaster and the 2nd was missing. Both packages had the shrink missing but it was cut neatly with a blade.

  • A: Hi Bonnie, the Ember Charging Coaster itself does not include a battery, however the Ember Mug does include an internal battery which allows you to enjoy your perfect temperature away from the coaster for 80-90 minutes.

    This extra coaster works great. I'm only giving it 3 stars, however, because it's the 3rd replacement coaster I've needed to buy-- two previous ones failed to consistently and reliably deliver a charge. I think it may have been something with the two charging pins not staying firm enough to contact the rings on the bottom of the cup, but it was completely annoying to spend 5 mins each day trying to line the cup up so that it would accept a charge.

    It's too bad that Ember hasn't changed the design of the charger over the years to avoid the condensation that occurs when charging which then corrodes the charging pins for the mug.

    The product works very well but I feel the charging prongs is the weak link. My son and I have had a total of four Ember cups. We've been through double that with regards to chargers due to the prongs breaking (specifically they stop springing back up). We make sure the bottom tray stays dry other than a little water after washing the cup. I've read other reviews where they too experience the same symptom. Otherwise, it's a solid charger just hope they improve the spring design.

    The charging coaster works fine so far but the older one it replaced stopped charging from an issue with one of the contact pins not making contact with the mug. This is the 2nd time I had to replace the coaster. The coaster should last more than a year!

    The coaster is just like the original and works fine. I just wish the cup didn’t lose charge so quickly. I also wish it would charge with liquid in the cup while on the coaster.
