Ensure Clear Therapeutic Nutrition Liquid Carton Apple 8 Oz, CASE OF 24

Bought this for my mother for endoscopy and colonoscopy prep. Complete waste of money that we don't have extra of. It's suppose to be for clear diet but it's red. Day of and and now we have problems.

Dont buy this for a colonoscopy even though recommended. has Red dye!!!! Fail.

The clear juice flavored drinks taste wonderful and make me full and satisfied!! I drink them 3-4 times a week with my busy schedule!!!

Great drink but it’s too expensive and hard to get a deal on it.

I had abdominal surgery a couple of years ago and had to stay in the hospital 8 days before being released. Nothing was tasting good to me and I had a hard time eating anything....even food that I had always enjoyed. They gave this drink to me during my stay. It was the only thing I could get down easily and tasted good. Since then, I've been hooked on it but have a difficult time finding it. The grocery outlet in my town was selling it at a very good discounted price and I purchased all that they had. This was a while back and I check with them often to find out if they have any. When I do see them, they're way too expensive and above my budget most of the time. Sometimes I have to pass them up. I'm hoping I can receive coupons every now and then to help with the cost. The clear is the only product I really enjoy out of the ensure line.....unfortunately.

I wished I had read the reviews prior to purchase. And I had to make a special online purchase as my stores do not carry. It is NOT CLEAR. In fact the tropical fruit is RED! And absolutely not suitable for colonoscopy prep. So very very disappointed.

Lots of reviews had valid concerns about the red coloring that seems darker than shown on the product label, and probably isn't safe for colonoscopy. In my case, I was on a 24 hour clear liquid diet prior to a TEE (trans esophogeal echo) so the dye didn't matter. But I was struggling to find anything in stores that would help my hunger pangs without jolting my blood sugar (since I had to stop my prediabetic blood sugar meds days in advance of the procedure). The only one I could find was Ensure Clear, but the big front label doesn't say that each bottle has 37 gm of carbs including 18 gm sugar in each bottle. I finally found that a box of "bone broth" worked well for me after heating as "soup." It had 10 gm protein per cup (vs 8 in Ensure Clear) with zero carbs or fat. Also perhaps petty but important - the Ensure Clear bottles are labeled "easy open" but they aren't. It takes a sharp implement like a knife or scissors to peel off the top plastic seal so the top can be opened.

Out of all the different types of ensure that I’ve tried, the mixed fruit It’s so good my son actually chooses it over Powerade or juice, which is amazing considering How good they are for you. My only concern or problem is that they are a little more pricey than I would like, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying them regularly even when I don’t really NEED them.

This product is advertised as CLEAR. Far from clear, it is RED. DO NOT PURCHASE if you are on a restricted clear diet. This product is NOT for you. So very disappointed in the false advertising. RED IS NOT CLEAR

I am so glad I found ensure clear mixed berry. I do not like milk never did so when I found ensure clear I was so happy. It taste so good !!

The taste is fine, but I bought this for a colonoscopy prep and its bright red! What a bummer. The title "clear" led me to believe that the picture was just a fun graphic. Its not... its RED, which is the one thing you cannot have prior to a colonoscopy.

I usually love Ensure products. But I'm irritated now because I heard about Ensure Clear. Great I'll at least have some good nutrients in me instead of nothing because of the clear liquid diet restriction for my colonoscopy tomorrow. I grabbed a case earlier, there was only one variety of "Clear". I open it up only to see that even with a flashlight, there's so much Red 40 dye in it that you can't see into the liquid. You seriously need to change something here as it is extremely misleading. I should have checked the ingredients at the store but still: even if I didn't have the colonoscopy tomorrow, there's so much dye in this that the lingering aftertaste/mouth coating makes me want to give away the rest of the case...

It's red- not useful for colonoscopy prep at all- It should be called "Ensure- BRIGHT RED"

on the days I'm not interested in food or don't have time to eat , my Ensure Clear is a big help and time saver.

When I need a clear diet for a few days for a GI condition, I drink Ensure Clear. So far, I've only been able to find the mixed fruit in my area. It's not something I'd drink for pleasure, but I can drink it for the protein. (I describe it like gourmet Koolaid with just the slightest thickness.) MOST IMPORTANT: It is RED so not suitable for colonoscopy prep.

Bought this product for the sole purpose of having it as part of my clear diet. Come to find out after I prepped for my colonoscopy that I would have to reschedule because this product contains red dye which I specifically was told I could not have. Had to prep all over again. My bad for believing the false advertisement that this is a clear liquid diet product and not reading the ingredients for myself. Do not buy do not use if you are prepping for a colonoscopy.

Ordered a clear protein drink for clear liquid diet with no red or purple color. Disappointed to see red color despite the label mentioned clear drink. My money waster and I could not use this product.

It's full of red dye - so you can't use it on a clear diet.

I was prescribed ensure due to me being a picky eater, however I do not like milk-based drinks. My doctors office told me about the ensure clear! They are absolutely yummy and do not mind drinking them to fill my nutritional gaps.
