I take 2 of these when I feel a migraine coming on and usually I’m able to get ahead of it before it takes me out. I’ve been prone to migraines for years, supposed to take prescription migraine meds that I have to find a new doctor to prescribe since I moved and just haven’t. So the fact that these excedrin can even make a difference is a miracle in itself. Bottle is easy to open, but has the child lock on it too which is important to me with kids.

I live on Excedrin. They are probably my primary food group. I get migraine headaches, and, for whatever reason, the combination of ingredients in Excedrin not only helps manage my pain, but usually eliminates it. If I take the ingredients separately (aspirin + acetaminophen + caffeine), it does little for my pain; if I take the same ingredients in 2 Excedrin, the pain is gone. Wow!

It works best if I take it early—usually within 30–45 minutes I notice a real decrease in pain. That said, it’s not perfect. If I take it on an empty stomach, it can make me feel a bit jittery or nauseous, likely because of the caffeine. It also doesn’t fully knock out more severe migraines, but it often brings the pain down to a manageable level where I can function, which is the goal for me. Overall, it’s something I keep on hand for moderate migraines or early symptoms. Not a cure-all, but dependable enough that I reach for it when I first get an aura before stronger options.
