We're sorry to hear of your disappointment. We do indicate to apply the paint in layers to achieve the desired opaqueness - less for a more watercolor effect, mor for a solid effect.

The only thing that’s really needed are some small pliers for opening and closing the circle rings (not included). It includes 4 spring/summery colors and three design examples. When I was a kid, it was the best brand of colored pencils and I'm happy to say that it's still great. My kids weren't too interested in the coloring part but now with these wooden earrings they are fascinated and I did too and it was fun. I wish I would get another set for Christmas. I ended up doing most of the work with them and it was amazing. I recommend it to you.
