Awesome grinder, easy set up. Why is there a minimum required characters.

Just dropped $200 on a grinder that retained almost all the beans when I tried to make an espresso. I was so, so excited to use it too—I had gotten it alongside my new espresso machine. Needless to say, I’m deeply disappointed. Please use your money elsewhere. I get that the reviews seem good, but it’s honestly heartbreaking to buy something you’re so excited about and for it to fail as severely as this did. And I don’t believe it was me—I’ve been a barista for years. I can dial a commercial machine in my sleep. This was truly a waste of my time, and I’ll be getting a refund.

Retention is the biggest issue with this grinder, however in terms of everything else it's great. Works great with my French press, however I've heard in terms of other methods of brewing- you can get pretty decently flavored brews. Make sure to clean the static pins towards the bottom, otherwise the grinds will spray everywhere.

Sleek design, quiet, love the magnet, feels sturdy

I’ve been using my Opus grinder for about a week and have found it to be the best overall grinder for my needs. I primarily use it for drip, pour over and French press, though I also put it to the test with my Bialetti espresso stovetop pot with great results. I have cycled through a few well known brands and have found the Opus to be quieter and less messy. The timed grind settings are also very convenient. I do not own a high end espresso maching so I have no need of the micro grind settings. If I was preparing espresso on a superb machine, I would probably opt for a higher end grinder. That being said, the Opus is more than capable of producing great results with my morning brew. Very happy with this product.

It’s ok. It retains a lot of grinds

Bought this grinder in November and I am so glad I did! The overall performance is excellent, and it has Fellow high quality touches that I have come to expect from this brand - a divider in back of the lid that helps measure beans for grinding 1 or 2 cups, and a magnet to hold the canister in place. The noise is so quiet compared to other burr grinders I’ve used and the capacity is large enough for any use. I get a consistent grind every time and would recommend to anyone.

A tool should make life easier. It brings me no pleasure to say that this one did not. Enough coffee was retained that after just a few uses the exit port blocked up and the interior totally filled up with ground coffee. The effort required to keep the grinder clean exceeded the value it produced.

This is a fantastic grinder for any coffee other than espresso. My first grinder was a lower quality conical burr grinder. It did O.K., but I knew I needed to step up to this flat burr grinder. This grinder allows for precision grinding, and it only took a few brews for me to dial in exactly what I wanted. I did some head-to-head taste tests against my old grinder, and the difference is amazing. I love my coffee every day now. Very few grounds get left behind (I measured ~ .1-.2 g out of a 50 g grind), and the knocking lever is pretty handy to clear some of the residual grounds. The magnetic catch cup with a clever top to it is the best thing ever. There literally are no grounds laying around after grinding a batch. The grinder is relatively quiet, and it is super fast compared to my conical grinder. I am much more about function than form, but I have to say that it has a very nice design overall and looks great with the other Fellow products I purchase. I highly recommend this grinder!

So easy to dial in for the best grind to have the absolute best coffee at home. So glad I bought this grinder!

Every cup of coffee I make tastes 10000X better with this grinder. The grinds at every level I tested are so fine and consistent. The lowest setting is so fine, my basic espresso machine can't even handle it. At setting 3, espressos come out amazing, I feel like I have been missing out for decades. At setting 8, my pour overs make me cry. I love this machine, its beautifully designed, and super functional. I wish I bought this years ago.

This grinder is overall pretty quiet, easy to use and has a great range of adjustability which is nice. However, grind retention is definitely and issue like a lot of other say. Additionally, the quality seem to be a lot cheaper than the Fellow Ode I was using previously.

Coming from a popular company burr grinder which would create so much static, we were looking for something that would contain the mess. Fellow advertised consistent, quiet, relative, grind with no static, and boy did they nail! It’s been about a month and this grinder is worth every penny. Highly recommend if you prefer a consistent particle size with no mess

I bought the 8 months ago. I loved the quiet, the look and the precision grind. However at 8 months it died. Support told me to clean it, I followed all the cleaning instructions and it was still dead. They sent me a new one, which was great however after 5 uses the motor died again. They told me its because I use oily beans and need to clean it regularly. I did try to clean it but its still not working. I wanted to love this product but it should last more than 5 uses before needing to clean. I still have not heard back from support as to whether they will refund me.

Grinder functions very well and is aesthetically pleasing. When grinding a full amount of beans, I have to tap the sides or it will not feed well, but this is a very minor annoyance and doesn't happen every time.

I recently purchased this grinder at the recommendation of a coffee aficionado. It's working great!
