This is my second Opus. The first had a different set of burrs and Performance was lackluster at best. The new grinder works extremely well with the exception of large slightly oily French roast coffee. It just does not feed and becomes clogged.

New to making expresso at home and wanted a grinder that wouldn't break the bank. Aesthetically pleasing and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. This grinder is able to grind fine enough for expresso, easy to dial in setting (inner ring very easy to use). It leaves little to no retention, is quiet enough to run in the morning without waking everyone up, and my favorite part is not having to deal with static. Will have to see how it holds up over time, but very happy with purchase so far!

I got this as a Christmas gift for my wife, and I was worried that a new grinder would be excessive. The reviews I saw online were right. My wife noticed a difference in the taste of her coffee immediately. Set up and use are easy, and it is quieter than our previous grinder. We are very happy with it!

An outsanding grinder. It looks amazing, grinds consistently, is quiet, and is a total delight to use. Magnetic catcher and auto-stop is *chefs kiss* The only negative I have experienced so far is that the hopper gets super messy, very quickly. First grind and there were fines and chaff everywhere in the hopper. This has not affected the grind quality at all, however, and is a minor issue and has no effect on quality. The espresso grind is remarkable and is not as challenging as some other reviews have made it out to be. I was between this and the Baratza ESP and I am so thrilled I went with the Opus. Plus a 2 year warranty (3 if you register the product) is just incredible.

For a long time me & my husband have been saying we need to switch to whole beans but didn’t have a way to grind them at home. OH MY GOD what a game changer this grinder is. You can adjust to get the perfect grind for any brew. This works perfect for my drip coffee, espresso maker, and when we go camping and use our old school peculator. I’m never going back to pre-ground coffee again. Well worth the splurge
