My home feels fresher and cleaner, especially since we have a dog that sheds a lot. What I like the most is how easy it was to install — it fit perfectly into my HVAC system (mine’s a Honeywell). The airflow is still strong, but the air feels lighter, if that makes sense. I used to sneeze a lot in the morning, and that’s noticeably better after just a few days of use. This filter is rated MERV 11, which means it catches fine dust, pollen, and pet dander really well. It’s not the top of the line, but it’s perfect for everyday use if you want a good balance between air quality and price. They say it lasts up to 12 months, but I’ll probably change it every 6–9 months since we have pets. For the price and the performance, I think it’s totally worth it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Filtrete filter really captured a lot in the 30 days we had it in our unit. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. It captured a great deal of various dust and looks completely coated. It's interesting because our thermostat gives updates based on how the AC is working, to say if the system is lagging due to AC filter needing to be changed out. The generic brands take forever to hit that threshold, I'm suspecting because they don't capture as much or have larger gaps for airflow. This filter was right around the month mark and I got the alert. I would definitely get this one again!

I know my current unit had one, it looked old and raggedy, and my air wasn't keeping up like it used to. After extensive research, and much unnecessary anxiety, I ascertained that I needed a new filter. When I tell you this was literature the easiest process of my life, I'm serious. It slide right into the slot, and (fingers crossed) works like a charm. I can't speak to longevity, as I've only had it in for a few days, or if it was any better than my old one when it comes to filtering pet dander, etc. It works, and it was easy. End of story!
