[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is part of an incentivized campaign. I received this product for free from Influenster and Fine’ry in exchange for my honest review. I selected this product based on the notes as I thought it would smell like a very popular fragrance by a niche brand that people who are into fragrances would know and I was right. And that’s never a bad thing because it smells amazing at a fraction of the original’s price! For those not in the know, this is a fruity and musky scent with a lot of ambroxan in the base and boy does it smell good. The ambroxan actually is really really clean and makes the overall scent of the deodorant steer into the clean shower gel territory but it just smells really nice (search for ambergris if you would like to know where that note originates from; they make a synthetic version now). The spray also has about the same level of projection and performance as the niche counterpart which is great as you can get it for much cheaper. I had heard really good things about this brand from other fragrance enthusiasts and I am happy to report that this deodorant really was awesome and was as good as people were making it out to be!

It’s a mix of black pepper and pineapple that doesn’t blend well—it comes off kind of sharp and overpowering. It does last a while and keeps odor away, so performance-wise it’s fine, but the fragrance isn’t something I’d reach for again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really not a fan of this deodorant, for a few different reasons. First of all the bottle - while I do like the sleek black aesthetic, the top has a little plastic piece you have to slide to unlock the sprayhead. And that piece is super flimsy and doesn't slide smoothly at all. It's actually quite annoying to use this deodorant as a result. But second and more importantly, the scent. I think this deodorant is trying to merge the scent profile of a standard deodorant with a masculine cologne, and I just don't think it works. The issue is that unlike cologne, you can't just spray a whiff of deodorant under your pits. In order to mask BO and hold up to sweat, you have to spray a decent amount on yourself, but the smell is so strong and musky that doing so very off-putting. Like imagine dousing yourself in cologne, because that's what this smells like to me. After a while it does mellow out a bit, leaving behind a fairly pleasant fruity aroma. But once it hits that point it doesn't hold up to sweat very well, and the strong scents stick around for too long in the first place. It's not appealing to me at all, and my partner also found it to be too much. I don't really see the benefit of using this over a combination of any other deoderant with a bit of cologne. So overall this isn't really the worst deodorant I've ever used - it doesn't smell downright *awful* - but I'm not a fan of it and I can't recommend it.
