Phone cord to short

I brought this for our granddaughter because our children liked the phone. But every time she plays with it she can’t put it to her ear without picking up the phone. Wish I had read the reviews first.

We're sorry for your disappointment with the cord length! The length of the telephone cord is approximately 7". Regulations prevent this cord from being longer in order to avoid entanglement. (Length of pull cord is approximately 26". This cord is not attached to anything at one end, therefore, does not fall under the regulation for length of cords.)

Toy was purchased for grandson the rope that holds the phone receiver to the phone body is about 4” long REALLY play toy he can not answer Horrible Chinese design Fisher Price should be ashamed Apparently this has been a consistent complaint for a few years and Fisher Price is not willing to address it. This will be returned tomorrow for something else. Very disappointed

Perfect toy for younger ages

This toy phone was given to a two year old and I have played with these phones. These phones are perfect for young children and are not meant for older ages. The quality is good for the price and children get enjoyment out of it.

great value. bought for 1 yr old who loves it! Did read reviews and the reason the cord is short is that the child doesn't strangle themselves! she loves putting finger in dial.

Phone Cord is Short

3 out of 5 stars
CKB86 - 1 year ago, Verified purchaser
Love the older school feel of the phone especially since most play phones are like iPhones now. The only downfall (which is a large one) is the cord that attaches the phone to the receiver is so short, you can't put the phone to your ear without lifting the whole phone & receiver up. I understand this could be seen as a suffocation hazard but the cord you use to pull the phone is longer so they could probably be the same size.
