Everybody's gotta learn, and the Fisher-Price Penguin Potty helps the training process along with a chill potty pal. Its friendly face and easy-grasp handles help toddlers feel more comfortable and secure as they do their business, while the built-in splash guard and removable bowl helps keep cleanup quick and easy. This unflappable potty pal helps everyone stay cool during the potty-training process!
Where development comes into play
Gross Motor: As little ones independently lower themselves onto the potty (and get back up again!), they'll develop balance & coordination.
Self-Identity: Every successful visit to their potty pal helps build up your toddler's self-confidence!
Security & Happiness: The low seat and easy-grasp handles help toddlers feel secure and grounded as they sit on the potty and are introduced to the potty routine.
I bought this potty because my local target seemed to stop carrying my favorite Baby Bjorn potty and I have to say I am quite disappointed with it. We have been using this potty for a week now and every time I try to get my little boy, who is almost two, to use the potty he still ends up peeing all over the floor and on his clothes because of how the front part is built. Not sure how other reviewers are having such success. But it is quite disappointing for both the parent and the child who is being potty trained. Also the bowl is quite shallow so I'm not sure how children who are older are going number 2 and staying clean.

We're sincerely sorry for your disappointment, and we really appreciate your feedback.
Pros: height is great , gives my little one leg leverage to poop. By having the ability to sit more in a squat stance gives her additional leverage to push.
I purchased this potty chair for the main purpose of bowel movement. At onset of potty training I have learned poop can be tricky with some kids. They sometimes get scared of the big potty and the splashing sound....
The high on the back of the penguin chair is perfect. In addition the height in the front gives my little one a place to apply pressure when she needs it .
My daughter never looks uncomfortable on the chair.
We do have additional potty chair for big potty. I give her the option to use big or penguin.
I am happy with purchase and would buy it again.
I did not want all the additional bells and whistles- nor did we need the potty chair to be a step stool.... I feared tipping and having to do extra clean up. Potty training at the onset is already messy...
I bought this for my daughter as an addition to her toilet insert in hopes that we could use it in other places to reduce the frustration of being in the bathroom in the early stages. I would say that this potty has a great value but I gave it 4 stars only because it didn’t seem to be very comfortable but still definitely a good basic, portable potty.

My daughter loves this potty. We got this as our second potty for downstairs. My daughter started to look down at her pee. The other potty, it goes all over the floor. This potty has a high lip in the front so it doesn’t make a mess.
Having boys I have always been concerned about them scraping their privates on the front of a potty chair, and that is why I specifically went with this one. There is no worry of that. It's smooth in the front and it is super easy to remove and clean. Best little potty chair I have boughten over the years!
Functional, simple potty. Kids want to help and dump it into the big potty, however the removable black insert is awkward for small hands to carry. It also takes up a little more space then I wanted for in my vehicle, but I can see this one being a good 'house' potty.
