Great for fine motor skills.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is fun for teaching fine motor skills. The buttons and buckle are great tools to help learn self drssing skills as your child grows. This is a fun toy to take in the car or airplane to keep your little one busy. The features on the dog are adorable and my little guy loves it give the puppy big hugs.

Cute for skill building

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy is fantastic for children to learn coordination. It is also much cuter than your typical busy book to do the same thing. However, the age range tops out before the advertised age. My older 2 year old wasn’t as interested as I’d hoped he would be.

Cuddly and learning all in one

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Fisher-Price FP Pets Learn-To-Dress Pup Preschool Fine Motor Toy for Ages 2+. This is a first for me. I've never seen such a cute learning toy like this. The concept is great. It teaches several different things. Such as fastening a button, tying shoes and even buckling a belt. It is soft enough to cuddle as well! This is perfect for introducing these learning techniques. The buttons and ties are well constructed so there wouldn't be any pieces that fell off or got damaged. Very durable. The age is 2 years and up and I think that is very appropriate.

Montessori toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves this toy. He carries it around and hugs on it all the time. He will sit and try and unbutton and button the suspenders and also work on the belt. He is slowly learning how it all works and the fact that it's a stuffy makes it even better!

Great learning toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loved Everything about this toy, perfect for little hands. So far my son has learned how to do buttons, the belt buckle and we are still learning how to tie his shoe laces. I would definitely recommend for toddlers and kids starting school

Very cute but for an older child

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter is 2.5 and always wants to dress herself and assert independence so I thought this would be perfect. Her older siblings love the buttons and tying the shoes, but this is way beyond my 2.5 year olds ability. I still gave it 3 stars because it is cute, compact, and very soft. Her siblings love it and i am sure one day my younger one will also, just not today.

Cozy stuffy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toy was a good size, great choice of colors and easy to hold and carry. The quality was great. However, the ties were much too difficult for a young child. The belt was good for eye hand coordination but quickly lost it's appeal. The toy was carried around briefly. Even with multiple interactions the learning to dress aspect did not meet any successful goals. I can't help but think maybe adding some sound effects and/or lights? Also zippered and Velcro examples which this age is more familiar with. I waited to review this item to see if interest was resumed but it has not been. The toy may be more appropriate for a slightly older age group.

Cute idea, not for us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My toddler threw this toy on the floor and didn't give it a second thought. I did catch my 6 year old playing with it because we just learned how to tie our shoes. I may leave it the car so they can practice when they get board.

Best for fine motor skills.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This a very good looking dress me up Doggy. Well made soft with bright colors and big enough for a toddler to engage with. Its perfect for teaching fine motor skill tasks like buttoning buckling and tying shoe laces with such an ease. It has a small velcro too on one side of the arm. I wish it had one zipper too. My boys already figured out the velcro and now we are working on understanding the buttons. It’s quite an interesting toy with nice features.

Great task oriented toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little dog is wonderful. My almost 2 year old enjoyed trying all the different buttons, Velcro, ties, etc. This is a great product to encourage your little one to try (and probably fail) at doing every day tasks like tying shoes and buttoning pants. But it's the trying that is important and with practice they can learn and be able to complete these tasks on their own. We have used this little dog several times over the last few days. The big buttons make it easier for small hands. My son loves untying the shoes and having me tie them back up, just to do it over again. The belt has not been a big favorite yet but I'm sure as he continues to grow and learn he will use that feature more. I have already recommended this toy to friends and family for their little ones.

Lost interest quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter was so excited to get this out of the box. She unfortunately lost interest in it in less than 5 minutes. She keeps trying to stick the end of the belt, so i may add some velcro. I wish there were more things like a watch or snap on the pants.

Dress me dog is a good practice toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The learn to dress dog Is a good way to promote learning to use everyday practical dressing items Includes Velcro, tying, buttons, and a loop through buckle. The laces are a little short they make it a little hard to get it tied. Velcro is good and works well Buttons are a favorite here this works great and they are large enough to make it easy and are very well fastened to the toy. The buckle is a nice touch for practicing for a belt.

Loves the laces

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 2yo son enjoys the accessories on the dog specifically the shoe laces, but gets upset quickly because he wants them tied again so he can untie them. Once he is finished getting the laces and belt undone he is pretty much done playing with it. He likes it but doesn’t hold his attention very long. He does love how soft it is.

Kept my littles busy for a while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love this. It kept my 2 year old busy for a while as well as my 4 year old! It’s so soft and not too big that it’s in the way of anything. They can take it in the car or stroller! We really love it!

Great for working on fine motor skills!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loved this toy. She is just starting to get better with her fine motor skills and this was the perfect toy for that. She kept playing with the buttons and shoe laces. And it was definitely a plus at how cuddly it was.

Colorful puppy stuffie

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Toddlers absorb so much. My son loves puppies. This one is very colorful. Love that it plays music so he also dances with it. Hes very inquisitive, so this keeps him entertained, however hes under two so, at times gets frustrated when hes unable to button or tie laces.

Is perfect for learning small motor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is SUCH a cute educational puppy toy! There are multiple ways children can use this puppy to learn fine motor skills, including, but not limited to, buttons, ties, and a buckle! The puppy is not only adorable and very huggable, but it is super soft as well! Between those features and the fun bright contrasting colors for developing eyes, I would definitely recommend for anybody with a toddler aged 2 and older.

FP Pets

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Learning to dress is more fun with this little pup. It has 6 hands on items, from tying shoes laces, buckling a belt, unbuttoning buttons. Learning plush pal is a great way to introduce your little ones to practice getting dressed all by themselves. The only thing I wish it came with a zipper as most kids have trouble zipping up their coats.

Motor Skills are needed to be worked on

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is challenging for the 2 yr in my life. She fully checked this puppy over before knowing what to do. Once she was shown what she had to do she was off to the races. She obviously has to work on her fine motor skills and this is exactly what she needs . She can get the button undone l, but it will take her awhile to button it back up. She has no problems with the Velcro but she needs.more work but because it's soft she wants to cuddle.
